Well first of all only eshop stuff needs cryptofixing, but that also counts for some game updates. A converted 3ds rom will never need it. Then it depends if there are minimum kernel requirements. Only being on 10.3 emunand won't run a game that absolutely needs 9.9, that'd still be needed to firmware spoof. I don't really know why reinand uses the 9.6 firm, cakes uses 10.2. If I have time I'll rebuild the tutorial for all three cfw, wanted to do that anyway. You can just use one, or also all three if you want, doesn't matter. Will probably take until tomorrow or so. I need to try cakes myself first.

Right! The same for me, installing Triforce Heroes and everything from eShop is okay (I have many games bought in the eShop, not a problem for any so far).

I just have a problem. I installed some EUR games so I could play them in Spanish (they are in the American eShop but only in English), and Fire Emblem: Awakening is one of them. It doesn't appear in the home menu at all. However, it shows when I load NTR. Other EUR games I installed are working fine without NTR.

That's my only problem. But Fire Emblem: Awakening has been out for nearly three years. So it's impossible it's because of FW version reasons, right?

That's because ReiNand doesn't have region free code, and NTR does, so the different region games show with NTR.

trouble is i didn't buy the game, it is a euro cia i acquired, so the original person would need to redownload the whole thing i guess

i tried quite a few times, it gets to 99% and error's

i have given up on the game now lol

It's probable that those 3 games have a region spoof applied.

Alright then. I converted those 3 from 3DS to CIA, so maybe the app I used applied the region spoof. I think I'll just need to do the same with Awakening. Thanks!

For fun I modified CakesFW to dump the decrypted 10.2 FIRM it uses, but it just gives me a black screen with Reinand (expected, since it expects the 9.6 FIRM). I'll see if I can get it working with some source modifications (and submit a pull request maybe, if it works). No promises though.
