Homebrew [WIP] SafeSysUpdater

if you're gonna update using *hax

put 3dsx file inside of 3ds/SafeSysUpdater/ file.3dsx
then put "updates" file in root of your sd card

I used ironhax and safesysupdater, had to turn on wifi for some reason to make it work, else I end up with black screen and red/pink dots on the bottom left of the screen

hi, i'll have the same result.

blackxscreen after press Y. any ideas why. what can i do?

Hi, just to clarify am I doing this right.

This is located in
root:3ds/SafeSysUpdater/SafeSysUpdater.3dsx

Without .smdh, and when I launch Menuhax, it says unknown publisher with question mark.
Is it supposed to be like this?

Some questions..

I have a O3ds on v9.9 with OOT save file mod

Is it really needed to update my 3ds now and than use the mod? and does the OOT save mod work on 10.3?

Sorry for being paranoid, but why is it like this? I watched some videos on youtube and it seems there are icons and name on it.

Because they have a smdh file which contains the icon..
SysUpdater just has the 3dsx file which is the program/app

If you'd like you can create your own icons there's a bunch of tuts here on the site itself.

I do not need the .cia file and I will only use the .3dsx file to downgrade right?

You still need the CIA files and you need it to place it in the root of your SD card

Root:/updates/ *.CIA ---- JUST MAKE SURE YOU ARE USING THE RIGHT VERSION FOR YOUR 3DS OF THE FULL DOWNGRADE ZIP/RAR FILE. Some user have used old 3ds file to downgrade a n3ds and caused a brick.
Root:/3ds/SafeSysUpdater/SafeSysUpdater.3dsx

Then downgrade away if you are sure that the updates files you have are the correct ones for your unit!

I have done md5 checksum to make sure the file is for my O3DS.

If you're gonna use it via *hax method then no, you won't need the cia

Works well to downgrade my N3DS Zelda Majora's 9.5 to 9.2 ! First try 9.5=>9.2 soft brick, update to 10.3 with recovery, and 10.3=>9.2 works perfectly ! Thanks !

Updated to 10.3 using menuhax atm..

MD5: /updates/0004001000022000.cia has a fail. what must be done to fix that? or just fk it and downgrade?

I have a New 3DS XL (EUR) and i want to know if the *.cia pack in the initial post is valid for my console. If it is not, where can i get a *.cia pack valid?

If you downgraded and is alrady at 9.2 there is nothing to worry about (?)
