@UnassumingVenusaur, finally got it to work, copy/paste this into FEITs, I used Grey/Anna as a test for emotions, it finally works now, shouldn't crash,

Here's the .txt file, be sure to check mine against yours to see where you went wrong, lots and lots of small things really

(Yes, I changed the references back to Sumia Cordelia in the file)

As for writing supports, I would suggest using my method.

Every time you add a line of dialogue, copy/paste the entire support into FEITs, and paste new lines as you write them, if FEITs crashes, you know you made an oopsie and can very quickly and easily fix it.

I don't really use FEITS for two major reason: I do find it very useful but for me it crashes randomly very often, and what I write doesn't get saved. And I'm writing the supports with the names for the Awakening characters, so I'm not sure how it the program would react if I didn't change them. I do however appreciate getting to see an approximation of the text and not having to reconstruct an entire romfs for one textbox. I am curious as to how you use FEITS though as it seems you know how to handle it better.

If FEITs crashes, this means that what you're writing would also cause an ingame crash, which gives you an idea if you're doing it right or wrong.

I don't write the supports in FEITs itself, I create a blank Text document, write the support there, and every time I make an addition, copy/paste it into FEITs, that way, if FEITs crashes, I know I did something wrong in the newest line. As I write the support, I write everything in 2 lines, the first is the main line with the support itself, every new line is written below it, if it works, I paste it into the end of the first line, if not, I look at it to see where I went wrong, try again in FEITs, until it works and I can add it to the end of the first line.

The character names don't really matter, you can input a random name for a Character that doesn't even exist, worst case scenario you'll get no Sprite and the name you inputted into the text box, but I like to use Fates characters so that I can test emotions, and some Fates characters are similar enough that I can do things properly, for Example, Anna is always Anna, but for Gaius, Grey is the equivalent ( グレイ ), for Cordelia, you'd use Matoi ( マトイ ), for Tharja, you'd use Syalla ( シャラ ), for Severa, you can use Luna ( ルーナ ), for Inigo, Lazward ( ラズワルド ), and for Owain, Odin ( オーディン ).

Otherwise, just take any 2 characters to use for testing emotions and you can get a very rough estimate of what to expect.

Okay, so I tried using Hans to run the edited Fire Emblem: Awakening but it is stuck with a multicolored screen at the top and a mostly black one at the bottom. Help?

i had this exact problem, actually. what fixed it for me was adding the .exefs file to /hans and renaming it 000a0500.code [i actually renamed mine 0009F100.code because eu but yours would just be 000a0500]

I took the exefs.bin file and moved it to 3ds/hans/ and renamed it 000a0500 just like you said but then it said something about the romfs path being invalid and had a /hans path for that and ended up taking me back to the homebrew menu. It also mentions two things like 000A0500.code and 000A0500.romfs.
EDIT: I just noticed that I forgot to end the .code after the renamed exefs file.

You need to make a Folder called HANS on the root of your SD card, inside this folder is where the romfs goes, name it 000a0500.romfs

I did that and the game finally loaded (thank you guys) but the F!Robin and Chrom C Rank Support conversation was still the same as it was before in the support log (I changed it to make it the same as M!Robin's and M!Robin doesn't have the S Rank Support option with Chrom). Really guys, thanks for sticking with me as long as you did.

EDIT: I compressed the romfs_ folder into a .zip file and renamed it, but Hans didn't load the game up, predictably. How do I compress the folder into a .bin file like with the romfs.bin file? I looked at one of the instructions @DeathChaos25 provided over at serenesforest.net and it said to rebuild the romfs file but I don't know how to do that.

I had followed every part of the instructions I was given including the hex deletion, I made sure I deleted the address that the guide to use hans said http://wololo.net/2015/10/28/tutorial-hack-pack-3ds-rom-use-hans/ but I wound up having the save problems as Blue Sun once I set everything up. And before you ask yes I did put 000a0500.romfs in the hans folder on my SD card root but I am redumping the romfs file with the version of Braindump that UnassumingVenusaur had posted a few pages back to see if that will change anything as I had used a more recent version I had downloaded when I reinstalled homebrew thanks to the updated browser and menuhax. I also did try running hans through both of those and each time got the same problem.

How did you install homebrew? I used the method CakEdit posted up for the newest firmware to get browserhax and then set up menuhax. I only made my account today but I have stalked these forums for a long time and saw a post about how browser hax and menuhax where updated so you can set up homebrew on 10.3 so I redownloaded everything and yeah it was due to the braindump I was using.

To properly rebuild a romfs.bin you'll need the romfs builder SciresM made. Here's the forum post: https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-romfs-builder.379330/
It's pretty easy to use, just select your edited romfs folder and press go. It will ask where to save it and you just save to your SD card as 000a0500.romfs as usual.

Update I used the backup I made of the file pre hex editing and it works flawlessly now.

Edit: Okay so somehow it acts like I have no SD card inserted when I try to do any of the DLC, is this a problem with hans or the rom hack?

The new female Robin and Chrom supports were a success (thanks to everyone)! For some reason Male Robin and Chrom's S Support didn't show up in the support log. I heard that to add new supports into the game one would have to edit the static.bin.lz with either Character Editor 1.1 or just using the Fire Emblem Archive Tool.

The support log operates based off a different file, but @TildeHat was kind enough to make a "universal" one which contains pretty much any possible support option you could imagine.

Not quite. First off, it seems in game supports and supports in the support log aren't stored in the same place. To add supports in the game you have to decompress static.bin.lz (you can use FEAT), grab the uncompressed .bin file and modify some hex values with a hex editor. (More in depth explination on how to do this here:

I just repointed all the ones that were the same to one(Both MU's, Logbook MU, Marth_FE1, dummy and merchant share one and the two enemies share one and I moved Priam's cause I had an extra slot). To do this open up static.bin in a hex editor and go to the offsets 0x488,0x6c0,0x75b0,0x77e8 and 0x7e90. Change whatever's there to 80 7E. Next, go to 0xa210 and copy 0xA8 bytes in length. Go to 0x7F48 and paste WRITE(ctrl+b). Now go to the offsets 0x7a20 and 0x7c58 and change whatever's there to 28 7F. You can also change Priam's if you want more space as well. Now you can add in supports/classes. Whenever you do that, copy out the offset you just wrote it and then go to what's pointed in 0x4(it is normally E8 A3 00 00. Reverse those bytes and add 0x20 to them the go to that offset). Now write out the offset you copied out(reverse the bytes and minus 0x20 these should also be 4 bytes in length) in your new free space(go backwards). After you've added your pointers copy the offset where your new pointer begins and write out that at 0x4(same thing as the other pointers). Now go to 0x8 and increase that number by how many pointers you've added. It's reversed so just increase the byte at 0x8. Compress Static.bin and if you did everything correct it should work out~

If you just want to turn existing normal supports into S supports, you can just use the character editor module with the nightmare and change Non-romantic in the support part into any speed you want
