Hardware Is it bricked? Interruption while updating emunand

Hi, I'm on a n3ds and i was updating the emunand, sat it down, came back and my kid restarted the console. now whenever i turn it on i get black lit screens, blue light. i can boot into recovery mode, but whenever i try to update it just hangs on the screen with the OK button highlighted orange. Is it bricked?

What did you do to update in Emunand? Pull out the sd and turn it on does it boot like normal?

pulling out the sd and booting still gives me a black screen unfortunately. I was using BBM to update the emunand.

Why may I ask and to what firmware? You're supposed to use Sysupdater while using Dev mode / Pasta mode / Pasta CFW / Mini Pasta.

Now im confused you cant update Emunand while you are in Sysnand. Did you even have an Emunand? What did you use to create it?

it's just a typo smh. i had emunand on a n3ds why would i try to update sysnand lol? emunand was fine, i had already installed cia's, ran homebrew, and had pasta cfw. i was updating to emunand 9.5 from 9.0 and the sytem got interrupted, just wanna know based off the symptoms if it's bricked or not.

That's the thing if your in Emunand and you do a system update you cant possibly brick you had to have been in Sysnand.

i wasnt in sysnand. i know how to boot into emunand. i verified i was in emunand, it's not my first time with a modded 3ds, just my first time with a modded n3ds. the proccess was boot into hbl, pasta cfw, then bbm.

Pasta CFW puts you into Sysnand...

i definitely did my research. my 03ds has been running homebrew for a while now lol. just won this n3ds in a raffle at work, it's bricked, not a big deal lol. i can read, the right fw was used. just a slip of the mind i usually use rxtools for everything read somewhere that i should use pasta.

well he was sleep by time i got to it. but thanks for your concern, lol even if it was his fault i wouldnt be mad, a kid is a kid. people who have kids understand this dude lol.

Had you setup Tubehax DNS previously?

Yes I did at one point. But I think I removed it. Wish I hadn't done it so late I would've been more attentive. It seems like it's bricked, no biggie I've been using this 03ds for over a year now.

If you have tubehax set up, try changing the SSID to your router, and connecting to that in recovery mode, tubehax will prevent recovery mode from downloading files for recovery.

Sounds like to me you just need to update your launcher.dat file

Is there a specific launcher.dat? Any guides? I see a few for gateway and regionthree for o3ds models.
