Plex is good for simple people, Or people who don't care about the options, I have over 400 complete tv shows at this point and a bit over 800 movies, It is just better for people looking for a higher degree of media management as well as the robust plugin support, Plus quality is better and plex had issues transcoding my bluray rips in a browser on the wii u, It's came a long way but by no means is comparable. But even plugged in via Ethernet the wiiu could not handle it lol

If by higher degree of Media Management, you mean able to watch all kinds of shit through plugins, sure. Otherwise, you can set up plex almost the same category wise.

I'm probably not the only one thinking this. I already have a Wii U, and I'm not going to sell and replace it just for a darn exploit, especially, if the new one is nearly here. And I'm pretty sure it's real.

Recent news about Nomura claiming NX to released this year if confirmed put " piracy problem" to level zero .
Wiiu will not suffer from piracy simply because any game released after march month has taken in account not selling much because wiiu last six months of life , and more probably they will see a cross release on NX , Zelda u above all,
(And that could be the reason star fox is so "rushed" being just a filler game in a way)

Plex is a branch that is based off of Kodi, but is nowhere close to having as much power or features. I already have a standalone device running Kodi to this day (currently Ouya, could use any Android device, no need for a server), but if the WiiU had Kodi, I would not need the extra device, could implement the controller to do a lot of functions, and would be able to launch Wiiu games from inside Kodi.

What makes you think no one would be interested in porting Kodi to the WiiU? Just because the wii wasn't doesn't mean the WiiU wouldn't be. The original xbox that XBMC ran on did everything a wii version would have, and was only abandoned because it could not support 1080p, and since the wii could not support 1080p also, it made no since to do a wii port.
