after you are in rxtools emunand, how are you launching HBL? Browserhax? I can only think of you missing your title.db file, but I'm pretty sure the error would be different if that was the case.

Nope, I have a Sky3DS with Ninjhax 2.5b. Where can I find this file? I'll double check if I have it.

In your SD card, there should be a Nintendo 3DS folder. Open it, and open the folder inside that (has a long name of random numbers and letters). There should be another folder within, so open that too. You should now see an "extdata" folder. If you do not see a "dbs" folder as well, download this zip folder and put the "dbs" folder beside the extdata folder.

Yup, the dbs folder is there. I remember rebuilding database on both sysnand and emunand with those empty files. There were two folders with random numbers and letters in the Nintendo 3DS folder, and both of them have the dbs folder with import.db and title.db

Okay. So I decided to format everything and try again. From following this guide: https://gbatemp.net/threads/tutoria...ncluding-emunand-coldboot-cia-manager.405589/

The only thing I'm doing different is instead of using browserhax I have CN and use it to get to HBL.

Here's the thing, when I boot into PastaCFW then FBI and install FBI.cia in sysnand, it does so successfully. But when I go back to the homemenu, i see an empty tile for half a second then it disappears. What's going on?

its from a different region sounds like

FBI would never be set to any region at all though. Just to be sure, @thedude28 launch freemultipatcher and see if it shows up then. And since you formatted, you did both add a title.db AND go into data management so it could repair the title.db for your system, right?

Yeah, but I decided to reformat Emunand just to try again, and it turns out I made the silly mistake of not booting into PastaCFW after installing it.

I have the same problem. ...

You just have to boot into PastaCFW again after you see it disappear. Then it should appear on the Home Screen
not a native speaker, can you make a list of things i should do? i didn't get what you just said.

EDIT- did it on sysnand following what you've said, what about emunand?

At that point I decided to link Sysnand and emunand by formatting emunand with Emunand9.

oooh, every post on this forum says that playing with sysnand is a no-no. I'm gonna wait for another solution

No, there's a reason why I did that. You just have to be extremely careful in what you do.

Once you see FBI in Sysnand, and you've confirmed it works (start it up and close it down absolutely no installing anything), I started up Emunand9 and then created emunand WITH FBI working in sysnand.

That's what they were trying to accomplish in the guide I tried following. Except we ran into this problem.

If you can't launch emunand at all, then you may have bricked it. What are you using to get into emunand?
