Homebrew How to install legit CIA files 9.3-10.3

Almost everyone. Just keep trying.

I'm trying on menuhax, no success. At least 50 tries both on Old and New 3DS, 10.3.

Any idea if there is a way to install out of region updates ? (for example Monster Hunter Cross update ver 1.1)
this update cia's cant be legit right ?

Many ppl would love to get a way to play their favourite importet games online T_T

no, "legit" cias or "preinstalled" cias are games that came with the console installed
because of that they can be installed on any 3ds

It works but you have to launch it from regionThree or Hans everytime.

Can you give me some more info? I would have to Menuhax load and then select hans and go from there each time? My daughter really wants to try Tomodatchi life and thats EU and I'm on US.

Meantime we just tried on her new Hyrule 3DS and success.
10.3, Menuhax. FBI launched launched successfully however trying the rom failed. Hit ok, tried again and failed. Restarted it and then loaded FBI, and then SM3DL installed fine.

So thats 2 successful machines so far.
2DS, 10.3, Menuhax. NSMB2 and SM3DL
N3DS, 10.3, Menux, SM3DL.

2DS definitely erractic with 2 out of 10 FBI attempts perhaps.
3DS 1 out of 1.

Yes you load menuhax then press A two times to select it on regionthree.

Now somebody who installed a legit CIA on 10.3 should try the next thing
(Why 10.3, cause you need eShop access)

Go to eShop and try to download the legit cia you installed (should say redownload/downloaded, don't do it!)
Go back to Home menu and remove the installed game (System settings/Memory management//Nintendo 3DS/Software, Select the legit cia you installed and delete it)
Go back to eShop and redownload the game you just removed

Report back here!

Ok my neighbour tried it

It works, after wiping the game, you can redownload it in the eShop if you had a NNID linked to it before installing it.
So, once a legit cia installed, you can delete it and redownload it from the eShop later!

I think the same applies as in the past, for now you can't system transffer legit installed cia's (for some unknown reasons yet)

I already asked this, if the download doesn't say it then you can't really know. Look at the first page for the list of legit CIAs.
