No thanks for the NEEDLESS HOSTILITY. I have not seen any part of the thread other than the very beginning, as I haven't been around the scene for a month. This was a surprise, and I don't want to read 183 pages of content.
Woah calm down buddy there isn't any hostility here, it's just the need to read the last 3-4 pages to get an idea of what's happening. If it was out, you would have read it in the recent replies.

For the benefit of every laytemper:

THIS IS NOT THE DOWNGRADE

This is proof that @Steveice10 has properly implemented memchunkhax2 (to an extent) and has kernel access. All this test version does is puts a testing function pointer into kernel memory and uses it to set the hex value DEADCAFE, which is just a test value that is readable in the output that shows that code was executed. This exploit is not yet consistent. It is however 100% proof that arbitrary code can be executed. Once this is improved and made consistent, the downgrade will be implemented. So expect some more waiting!
There was a test version? It didn't say so in the first post.

i think it works on all 3ds except old 3ds above 9.2
@TuxSH is right, to a degree. The expoilt is caused by a race condition, which means you have to get the exploit going before certain conditions are met. This is why the ouput is sometimes 00000000 and not DEADCAFE: the pointer to the arbitrary code didn't get assigned the the memchunk header next pointer in time. (@Steveice10 can correct me if I'm wrong!)

Well, I just can't feel like you're being hostile when you're implying that I'm an idiot. Reading through what's now 184 pages of content really gets on my nerves.

Thank you for not being needlessly hostile! I simply wanted to know if it was that way for downgrades, because I think it's similar to previous downgrade things that have popped out. I'll wait until release then!

I understand. That was a question I had too. Just gotta wait.

Why does your text have to be like this, 5 people are already telling you what's going on and you're still insisting on your own accord. This isn't name calling, it's pointing you in the right direction.

Nope...tried both hax on both my 3ds consoles (o3DS 10.3U - n3DS 9.4U) and THEY DON'T FRIGGIN WORK!!!
The best I got was a bunch of 0's from Stevie's one and a "Release it! from the other one...

Finally read the entire fucking thread. So help me God, I'm never doing that shit ever again.

Probably not even gonna use the mch2 test, its funny to see people try to get it to work when it amounts to nothing atm.

This would be nicer if you could disable pagination for one time or so to read through the thread/ctrl+f. But you can't. Thanks forum software.

Also, I'm trying to use the new browserhax for 10.3 NEW 3DS, but the browser crashes in the middle of loading the page, giving the usual "an error has occurred". I have initialized save data, and gone to the page through the QR code while offline, then turning back on the wireless communications. Is the new browserhax more unstable?

You need a new payload for the current version of your FW.

Yeah, but if we get it working this will help the devs to make it more stable.

How many tries ?
Enough to beat the race condition aka however many is neccessary.

Patience, child. This exploit is not yet consistent so it's going to fail a lot in the meantime. The code from @JustPingo is also just a frontend for this exploit in the future. It does as much as Hello World! does. (If it does something besides that I'd be pleasantly surprised).
