A downgrader that can be powered by any privilege escalation. You just have to give it a am:u or am:net handler.

Well, KARL (AKA SALT) actually gave us ARM11 and ARM9 in the form of Bootstrap and they documented and are still documenting everything they find on 3dbrew while working on it so basically: SALT is a private cfw development for research and documentation. You can't really use that as an analogy, since they contribute via programs and documentation.
