I post an craigslist ad before I picked the 2 bundle I am holding. I forgot about the ad until someone contact me today offer an bundle. I have quite some questions because of the seller said when I ask about the firmware.

Me: Can you take the photo of the Wii U screen where it shows 5.3.2 firmware?
Seller: It says 5.5.0 on the system menu because its spoofed with wupinstaller. It's actually the webbrowser exploitable fw. Loadiine works on it.
Me: Can you temporarily remove the spoofing thing to make sure so I can see it has 5.3.2?
Seller: It's on a fake 5.5.0 because newer games require it and for it to go online. System updates are blocked through the router and tubehax. The spoofing cant be removed. It can be updated manually when a newer one is out. Ill send a picture of the backup loader menu.

Are these answers correct?

Yes. Also you can ask whether there's a TVii icon on the home menu. If there is then it's spoofed

Stay put, one of the things being worked on is emuNAND. So you would be able to use all the latest stuff without spoofing soon™.

Will that emunand solution allow newer FW versions as emunand on 5.5.0 (once there will be a newer FW of course)? Or is it too early to tell?

So, my intention to release something exactly on Christmas is clearly not going to happen. I already knew it would be quite a stretch to get all the relevant stuff done by tomorrow, whence the warning that it was merely an intention.
Still, I'm steadily working on all that's necessary for a proper release and I will be spending the first month of the next year doing maintenance and giving support related to the exploit.
By the way, this doesn't mean it won't happen at all, I'm just giving an heads up so no one gets their hopes high for a Christmas eve release. Next week or so is a more plausible release date.

I bought a brand new ZombiU bundle a couple of hours ago from ToyChamp in Belgium Maasmechelen and returned my last Wii U ordered from bol.com in the Netherlands. The ZombiU bundle came with firmware 1.0.1E. It was the last one they had and i consider myself very lucky to own this one.

you will need to update slightly with a game as 1.x won t work with the upcoming exploit.

Wouldn't there be an exploit by naehrwert for firmwares lower than 5.2.0? Once i update there's no way back and i'd like to see what the future brings. Patience will be rewarded

depends if it needs the web browser to exploit what ever is needed. Not sure if 1.x has it installed that low.

It doesn't have the browser. But perhaps naehrwert's exploit won't require it. I haven't looked into it that much.
