The emuNand partition MUST be at the beginning of the SD card and must have a special flag set that a PC/Mac cannot see. There is no trivial way to do it without formatting the card. Also, rxTools can inject an emuNand form a backup, it is painfully slow and takes over 1 hour on an O3DS compared to just minutes on a computer.

It's not needed when there is already a partition there. That's why the instructions mention swapping a FRESH SD CARD into the 3DS. Anything on the SD card before partitioning it will be gone, except for whatever the tool copies back from RAM (which isn't much). If you already have an emunand partition, THEN you can play around with it and inject stuff without losing data on the SD card.

What "downloading" screen?

Oh u mean "Install data suite" screen ?

yes thats what i mean if i shut the 3ds off turn it on go to the ds profile i see the boot image of the face and then black screen

i just re draged the files over to see if it fixes it but it didnt even say anything about datasuit this time

Delete the data folder inside the root rxTools folder and retry

Ok SD Card or MicroSD Card in SD Card adaptor?
