Is there an option to write NAND.bin to SysNAND? It's not in the screenshots and it'd be nice for testing purposes.

EDIT: looking quite good, btw!

Thanks! And no, that was left out on purpose. We don't want noobs wrecking their SysNANDs and coming back crying ;). Just use Decrypt9WIP (link in my signature) to do that!

Great work, man. Wish I'd had this a week ago when I set up my N3DS and wrote my tutorial. This would have made things way more convenient.

Also, maybe @Shadowtrance will want to do a GUI for this ;).
Shouldn't be an issue to design something for it. :)

Trying to be lazy and use the D9 generator for it but it isn't playing totally nice. lol
Might just do it manually in Photoshop. :)

Now we need a guide for this beauty.
Well, in fact the specific part is quite easy (a full guide would also include how to get EmuNAND9Tool running in the first place and how to go on from it's initial setup).
  1. Extract the release ZIP archive on your SD card
  2. Run EmuNAND9Tool using your favourite method (homebrew launcher, for example)
  3. Select "Complete EmuNAND Setup" and run it
  4. (optional) If you want to setup not the currently inserted SD card but another, switch SD cards when asked
  5. Be patient
  6. Setup your *hax entrypoint and run it (easy with CN or OOT, as these don't have to be set up anew)
  7. Profit!
Thats's all. I guess with the old method of GW software plus manual setup of homebrew (also keep in mind all the stuff that's already included in the extended pack, that you would otherwise not have), a guide for the above would have been quite a bit longer. A full guide would be great, btw!

I know this is kind of a dumb request, but could you load Ironfall into memory from the SD card and copy it to the new SD? I'm not talking about if you don't have Ironfall, I just mean your own (encrypted) one on the SD.

To be honest I don't know if it is even possible to transfer it to a new SD card. Automating it is almost impossible in any case. If you're interested in doing it manually, you can ask in the Decrypt9WIP thread (in my signature), as Decrypt9 is most likely the only tool you will need for that.

It should be possible. Just copy the files from the SD card and the name of the folders into memory, create the Nintendo 3DS folder on the new SD, and copy the files. Then again, I don't know if there would be enough memory given all that's currently loaded.

Yup, the first problem is the memory requirement. The second...

Well, what do you think, who creates that Nintendo 3DS folder and the numerical ids in it? Hint: you need to reboot the console for it, the ids are unique, and they can't be known before the 3Ds generates them.

I know. Which is why you copy the name of the old one.

Yeah, it's not like we're formatting sysNAND here, so keeping the folder structure as is should work just fine.
I'm pretty sure the number will change after the format. If not, you can just add your Ironfall install to your personal starter.bin (read the readme!).

as long as you don't do a system format on sysNAND then ironfall should stay... though if you can use emuNAND I'd wager it probably isn't a big deal to get a CIA of ironfall and install it on your console to get it back... but it isn't related to the SD card, it's related to a randomly generated number that the NAND uses which doesn't change until you go into settings and click "format system memory," even when changing SD cards... anyways yeah using starter.bin could make it happen easily :)

Is there any way to remove EmuNAND update nag with this tool?
No. You can do it with Decrypt9 (link in my signature): Dump import.db from SysNAND, the inject import.db to EmuNAND. It's not a clean solution (it's not like there are any clean solutions for EmuNAND now), but it works. This tool will get something added once we have a clean solution. Or I might rethink it and add the dirty solution, don't know.

Well, I think that's because you didn't set everything but the name in the menu structures to zero. I'll have a look later, though.

so if i accidentally update my emunand on my n3ds for some strange reason, can I use themehax to autoboot homebrew loader and launch this tool to inject an older emunand <=9.5 fw? All without using a computer?
