I'm on 5.5.0E, hopefully we won't be waiting till December 2016 :(

These things take as long as they take, just gotta be patient :)

WiiU exploits have been known of for a long, long time now it has to be said. The amount of time it's taking for a public release would suggest they are taking part in a TON of testing, different consoles, regions, ages etc. It's possible that the amount of time this is taking means that they're gaining a huge amount of knowledge about the system, the way it works, how to stop unwanted Homebrew removal before the release of the public exploit!

With the Wii, the exploit was released and an Update quickly removed it again. Over time, Homebrew and Hacking became much more powerful, with system Hacks capable of blocking Nintendos own updates, we could install it to a fully updated system soon after a new update was released.

Perhaps the team(s) have learnt from the past and are bulletproofing the release of this exploit, ensuring it's safe to use and can be maintained safely on a console which is still connected to Nintendo Servers after installing?

Just my thoughts. I'm expecting some pretty big things from these guys!

Don't forget, Homebrew doesn't necessarily mean Backup Game loading! From what I remember, the teams working on the exploit are Anti-piracy, so won't be supporting USB Loaders of any sort :P

No doubt something will come along, but I'm not hoping for it or the WiiU will have the same fate as the Wii...

You're not hoping for it? the Wii still sold 100 million though, I feel as if the system got hacked with NX around the corner it won't make much of a difference

Correct! For the most part I'm not a fan of piracy but if the console has been long since discontinued then I see no issue with emulating or pirating a game for said console as it's not damaging for the company profits or the lifespan of a Console! I'm not up to date with the NX. I've read all kinds of different information like, it's not actually a new console as it works with the WiiU. Really clueless with it to be honest so I can't comment on that XD Despite thwe NX release, WiiU games will still be selling in retail stores so until they're discontinued it's kinda crappy for Nintendo for people to pirate them.

What I'm more interested to see is what the WiiU is capable of. I've always wanted to see an update to Wii64 (Not64) which works flawlessly, but to this day I think that the project has been discontinued, or at least not updated for a long, LONG time hahaha

As well as that, the PS1 Emulator was coming along great, I played through a couple of games A-ok through WiiSX but there was still room for improvement... Games like FFVII never worked at full speed for me.

Obviously not just emulation but other Gamepad features and such would be great to see people taking advantage of! Not to mention the amazing work already shown off by MrBean35000VR on custom Mario Kart 8 Tacks and Textures! :)

Yeh I heard Wii64 runs slowly

I cannot wait for Wii U hacked, I had to wait forever for the Nintendo 3DS but this will be worth the wait :D
I am going to play the crap out of the Wii U, I love hackers

Hey, when i try to block these url´s in my router, the following error appears:" no valid url". What can i do? thx!

Doesn't the DNS server that was formerly used for tubehax block Wii U updates as well?

Personally, I just have all the URLs blocked through access restrictions on my Tomato router, but I think it would be easier for most people to just set DNS 1 to tubehax DNS, since I'm pretty sure it blocks the same servers.

Hi, I have a Wii U console (US) being shipped to me that has a low firmware, I want to update it to 5.3.2 should I update with a Wii U game that has a 5.3.2 update (Mario Party 10, I believe does)?? Thanks

if wii u have 1.25 ghz dual core and 2gb of ram (1 gb usable) and an arm processor it should be able to run something like android and get some emulator that give some more gpu/cpu option even run ps2 emulator and what about running some kind of linux arm like those one used on cubieboard(like raspberry pi) just asking if it could be possible and did they even make a cable for the conector under the gamepad??

another thing i m guessing about do it possible to decompile an gamecube game and put new texture (probably not because it s gonna make the iso bigger than 1.3gb but it s probably makable ) asking because there is an hd pack for rogue squadron 2,3 that come out for dolphin emulator for pc. and about that why by the god rogue squadron trilogy didn t leaked why factor five don t sell the iso underground ,and why we don t already have an redsteel on wiiu sry for last two phrase it had to come out!!

i think it s already the case they wait the nx to come with big title they know wiiu is already on the way to be hacked and can t do anything about but a thing! they should realize the potential after "market sale "they can make with that, wiiu is already dead with the ps4 and xbox but if it get hacked before the other, sale grow up again more if the homebrewer have an good aces to make their "job" if wiiu had at this time been hacked and able to run all emulator perfectly with graphic tweak and android os or an good linux and ir learning (not sure it have the ir receiver) or full nfc acces on gamepad and gamepad to pc connection with streaming sure they have to continue production of console for at least 2 year just because there is a market about hacking today(people like to custumize thing and get their toaster run software) i would not buy my wii u a week ago if i didn t think to hack it and i m probably not the only one. and if nx have retrogaming like wii u had (wii on an separated os) it will grow up the sale of nx too because people know they will be able to port they old console homebrew and maybe os but it didn t mean the nx os will be cracked.it s the better way for nitendo to regain adulte consumer because that s the problem of nintendo lack of adulte buyer just imagine if zombiu had time to finish theire work(fully online multiplayer with zombi and pvp near mmorpg, fully coop story,an freaking big open world and possibility craft material and baricade ) and adult buyer, the game would sell million of copy.what i think it s that nintendo should change marketing strategy and take advantage off that it can put them on the track again.and just because it s just too funny did you ever see your wii u going himself from power off to yellow light (lolll trying to connect to nintendo for update)don t let this beast alone just don t do it, after next update he will be able to hack neightbourg connection to find is update lolll do the router block ip work perfectly maybe they will set another url they look like to try anyway they can use for updating it ,i m probably better to continue to never set my wireless internet connection!!question about that do every online game have is personal url to plug or all game plug online via a nintendo url.sry for my bad english

I'm going to get a Wii U SOON™ and want to know which models/special editions/colors are on lower firmware and where I can learn how to develop Wii U homebrew.

NSMBU edition and Wind Waker HD edition are the ones that you'll probably find easily that are pretty safe to bet on being on low firmware. Also, if you see any white consoles sealed in the box, it is GUARANTEED to be in the ballpark of 3.1.0

Thanks, I'm going to get a white one and look for any cheap game with 5.3.2 update.
