Hacking Wii u Saves

I know this probably gets asked a lot but im not sure if the Wii U saves or Wii saves can be hacked.

Another thing is, is their a cheat device that will have codes for the Wii U something like gecko or action replay.

I am wondering if you need to make Wii u jail broken/hack/home brew ect ect it for the above things to do.

There is NO jailbreak for the Wii U. Only Kernel and Usermode exploits on 5.3.2 and under.

If you DO happen to be on 5.3.2 (you probably aren't), then you can use Saviine to dump your Wii U game saves. However, I don't think you can shove them back into the Wii U, though. And the saves are encrypted anyway, so there isn't a great deal you can do.

afaik, there is only TCPGecko for 5.3.2 firmware, which will allow for cheat codes (you have to manually modify hex values in the RAM to get them working, I think.)

Thanks for the answers i thought by now they would have figured something out. I hear the next consoles coming out so i was thinking all this would have been done by someone.

You can inject them back into a 5.3.2 WiiU and they are not encrypted

Thanks for the info. Although I'm pretty sure the saves are encrypted. The 3DS has encrypted saves, so Nintendo must have implemented the encryption into Wii U saves. But who knows... It'd make things a hell of a lot easier for us hackers.

Like the contents you dump with tcp gecko are not encrypted, the saves to dump with saviine are also not encrypted.

Ahh, I see now. I've never used saviine, so I wouldn't know.
I was too desperate to update to 5.5 because of Splatoon! (and god dammit, we now have a firmware spoofer. )
