These games has AP:

Animal crossing happy home designer
Goosebumps
Legend of zelda triforce heroes
Thomas and friends steaming around sodor
Pokemon mystery dungeon
Shovel Knight
7th Dragon III Code vfd
New Fire emblem
Hello_Kitty_And_The_Apron_Of_Magic_Rhythm_Cooking
Barbie_and_Her_Sisters_Puppy_Rescue_USA_
Horse_Life_4_
Stella Glow (USA) AP
Project xzone 2 jp

Nothing im that into. But I guess AP is Nintendos new thing. So the new cart might be useful in the future.
Chances are they're pretty much all going to have AP in the future.

I'm backing up every retail games right now. (using GW Launcher)
I want to have every header that I own! :D

What about Sky save system? Do we have any information? Is the save system the same as the one we get using Gateway?

Maybe the best way to copy our save to Sky3DS would be the save manager homebrew... Any thoughts about this?

You are welcome to buy all of your games legitimately, then.
Do you realize that you are complaining about a $90 device, which lets you play hundreds of $30-$40 games without having to pay $30-$40 per, being too expensive?

I'm sorry you had to spend, what, ~$200? to have the entire 3DS library at your fingertips.

It's even more ridiculous for all this guys complaining because blue card saves you roughly 4500$, playing perfectly at least 150 games. With new card, you get access to around 10 new AP games which is about 300$ more or less.

So yeah, those bastards Sky3ds who forces us to buy new card to save 300$ at least with their new 80$ card.
AAARRRGGGGRRGGGGGG......sp angry right now........!!!

If there's no rom that actually goes over 4gig then fat32 is fine, isn't it?

Xenoblade as one of the largest games is exactly 4096mb in untrimmed state which is exactly 4gb, thus should exactly fill out the fat32 filesize limit. Again this is only my theory, I don't own a flashcard yet and don't know how they handle these game sizes on fat32.

The usb port in my opinion is an external power source to "boot" the card without it being inserted into 3ds. As I take it it kinda "starts" and if there is a firmware file present it updates itself. This solution makes sense as they can not have something like a home brew firmware updater application as cia or whatever on the 3ds itself.

I'm pretty sure Monster Hunter X is 4gig and it was shown in a couple of videos running just fine.
So I guess, It;s not the problem.

Small question: I backed up every retail games that I own using Gateway launcher.
Some of the games are in two parts but I plan to turn into a single file.

Can I use those backups this Sky3DS OR as these are my personal backup, they can't run because of the private header or whatever else?

Sure you can, but you will have to get the header data and put them into <GAME>.cfg in order to play online.

Well that's not a problem, I just finish extracting headers and trimming the roms. (Except Pokemon X, Pokemon AS and Pokemon OR because I don't want to mess with the savedata and I'm not even sure that we can remove even a byte without destroying the file :D)
Thank you for the answer. :)

You are a braver man than I! I'm going to be in a state of paralysis regarding headers and save files and... TWO BUTTONS! Seriously though, I'm so screwed. I seem to be the odd man out on this board. The n00b thread is just so friggin crowded...

Well if I had the cart I'd sure put like 10 ap games on it and at least confirm everything works. There's nothing more to review at the moment, there are no firmware files yet. Pretty sure all people want to know is how well ap games work.

Am not getting the card anyway atm anymore, getting 9.0 n3ds this week. But still their progress interests me, especially why no one else has a product like this.

Actually, if memory serves me correctly, there were clones of Sky3DS such as the QQ3DS (which also came with a DS flashcard just because).

this is only partially correct many people pirate games they would not normally buy so many would argue that without sky they would live without said games and therefore save nothing from pirating the games as they never would have bought them

personally i say the best bet is
for the price of a sky3ds you can get a 2ds and free cfw and never worry about the current and likely future AP

yes sir but in qq3ds case they were not even clones just sky3ds with the sticker replaced and a ds flashcard added on the side (like a combo meal) so the consumer can think they are getting a different/better (more capable) product and the way sky3ds releases new cards i would not be surprised to find they were behind all the skyclones not just qq3ds
