Does rxTools currently support N3DSXL 9.0.0-20U and Menuhax 2.0 from the HBL? I've been trying to setup rxTools, (or any CFW for that matter) for a solid week and have had little success. Every guide seems to be outdated, even ones posted just 4 weeks ago. And then there is old information in the rxTools nightly releases, it's just a mess. I'd be willing to make a thorough guide to help other people in my situation, if I could only figure out how to get everything working. Is there anyone here that could offer me assistance on my specific system?

EDIT: The most I've achieved so far was booting into the Gateway menu via Sky3DS Cubic Ninja, and formatting an emuNAND. I can launch into it and everything. But, I want to be able to just turn on my N3DSXL and be in a CFW so I can run games I've dumped and such.

The latest commits seem to only require you to get the firmware.bin for a N3DS and put in under:
SD:/rxTools/firm/(number.of.firm).bin

As for the rest, you should simply delete all previous folders related to rxTools and start up clean.
Copy all files and folders from the latest nightly into the root of the SD card along with the info previously mentioned and you should be fine.

Which firmware.bin though? The python file no longer generates one .bin file, but three, and neither are named firmware.bin.

these 3 only for O3DS
if you have n3ds you need google it yourself

Yeah, I've got that file. I have the Homebrew Launcher unzipped on my SD card. I copied the rxTools folder from the ninjihax folder to the 3ds folder on the SD card. I copied the rxTools folder that was in the root of the release folder to the root of the SD card. I copied the firmware9.5.bin to the SD:/rxTools/firm folder and renamed it to 0004013820000002.bin.

I enter the HBL via the browser, scroll to the bottom and select rxTools. The screen spazzes out, bottom one flashing colors, text appears up top, and then both screens just blink to black. Nothing. No reboots, no screens, nada. I haven't updated my emunand to 9.5, could that be why?

This is the latest build with CakeBrah fix by 173210

Code:
OLD 3DS
Move firm directory (run tools/cdn_firm.py to download it) to rxTools, then copy the contents of the rxTools folder to the root of your SD card.

NEW 3DS
Download 9.5 **encrypted** NATIVE_FIRM (0004013820000002.bin, for cakes) from the web and move it to rxTools/firm, then copy the contents of the rxTools folder to the root of your SD card.

Quick question please, my N3DS is all setup great using your build and guide

My friend just got an O3DS and want to use the same rxTools, i ran the cdn_firm.py and got 3 bin files, is it correct to have 3 bin files ? Are all 3 needed ? Do they need re-naming ?

Thanks

I did read, it says nothing about 3 files, was no need for the CAPITAL letters, was a fair question :(

So I've already installed rxTools (11.22.15-18.17-265d53e) on my 9.2 O3DS and booting rxTools via Themehax and when I try to boot the emunand, the system reboots back to the Menuhax loader. What could possibly be happening to it? I formatted the emunand via Gateway launcher, do I have to reformat the emunand and start all over again?

Are your sysNand and emuNand Linked? If so that's the issue. You need to format sysNand to remove the link and reinstall ThemeHax. Just remove the SD card and boot up the 3DS and do the System Format.

Almost forgot, you have to remove MenuHax first by deleting the Themes Folder on the SD card. Otherwise when you load emuNand it will load MenuHax. Changing the Theme while in sysNand before formatting should remove it also. If you use the 2nd method, you have to re-create emuNand.

If you are using linked emunand and autoboot-menuhax, it would happen.
Unlink nands or don't use autoboot.

Okay, so I guess I'll start all over again since there's too many files on my SD card to determine which is which. So what I'll be doing step-by-step then is to
1. Format emunand
2. Install rxTools
3. Unlink nands
4. Install HBL
5. Install Themehax
Right?

That's easier than what I said. I forgot that the original ThemHax doesn't autoboot as I use the autoboot one.

0. Change Theme with SD card not inserted.

Right?
Remember to not have the SD card inserted while doing the system format so it doesn't delete any files by accident.

You don't need to unlink the nands, you simply need to hold the key for not autoboot(depends on the version and configuration of your used menuhax), update you emunand and then you only need to do this to use a linked emunand and menuhax:
