Does anyone know of any good quality methods of recording a 2DS and/or 3DS? Excluding a capture card, of course. I'd rather not spend $200 on something so silly.

The 3DS display itself isn't in HD so you won't be able to get HD recordings from it in the first place. Personally I use my phone camera or digital camera secured on a tripod as well as securing the 3DS to the table. Then I use manual focus mode in a completely dark room. The end result isn't as good as a capture card but it can be close depending on the setup.

Of course, if you don't have those then a capture card would be the more practical way.

Here's an example footage of what can be achieved:

1. capture card isn't silly
2. 3ds makes lower then HD quality, so sorry bro
3. the only 2 options are : filming with a phone, using capture card

So then use a camera if it's silly.

Wanting to record something in twice the quality it actually is is silly.
First off, thats the whole point of the thread if you'd actually read it and not just read the title. Please actually do so, just so that you don't leave comments that to not relate to the thread, especially when I said I don't WANT to use a capture card, so RESPECT that.
Second, read your comment again. Twice the quality is better. I understand that you were trying to say LESS than twice the quality, but like I said, read your comments over/

Wanting HD when it isn't there is twice the quality.

Also at the main topic:

Clearly you guys don't understand HD. HD doesn't always mean coming from the source, and I know that for fact considering I work for Samsung and majored in computer engineering. A camera can be HD! That is where the quality can come from. If a camera is the only way, then thats the answer I was looking for. I didn't ask for your guys' input about "How silly it is to think a capture card is stupid " on my thread. Okay? So please leave if you are not going to answer my question and actually read the part where it says I don't want to hear about how capture cards are so much better.

This bloke has two good tutorials which I use. Definitely watch both, as one covers things like lighting.

SylverReZ @ SylverReZ: Also nice. Never really watched Fallout on Prime, but sounds like a good show. +1
