Does anyone know why Braindump doesn't work with Liberation Maiden? @_@
What happens if you try it with Liberation Maiden? Red touchscreen and simply freezing? That's what also happens when trying braindump/svdt/save manager with Devil Survivor 2, Etrian Mystery Dungeon (and probably a couple more). :/

Yes, but with yellow touch screen. I tried Virtue's Last Reward, and it doesn't work either. The difference is that the touch screen is red instead of yellow, and the combination R+L+Down+B works (Only with Braindump. With svdt, I'm forced to turn off the console).

can i you romfs get from braindump to mod?

...

If your question is "Can you get a romfs from braindump and mod it?", the procedure changes from game to game, but yes. That would be pretty much the entire point of the program atm.

sorry for my bad english.
do you have link tutorial to extract data from romfs?

Can someone teach me how to do this exactly with the latest system version? I'm an utter noob when it comes to things like this...
If you don't already have a form of *hax installed - ninjhax (requires the uber-rare Cubic Ninja), ironhax (requires ironfall invasion 1.0 or 1.1; the most recent version is 1.2, meaning new downloaders are screwed. also requires an existing *hax to install) and OOThax (same as ironfall, but requires OOT3D) being the only methods available for 10.3 - then you're completely screwed.

If not, make sure you're running *hax2.5, put braindump with the rest of your apps, and enjoy.

I've been using Braindump on my n3dsxl (10.3.0-28E), and it works perfectly... however, on my o3ds (9.2 sys, 10.3 rx emu) it always crashes to either a red or yellow screen as soon as I've selected a title to dump. Is this a known issue? (sorry - I'm feeling too lazy to read through 20 pages of posts to see if this has already been covered).

btw, here's an alternative smdh that I thought I'd share

With braindump is it possible to dump the update data for games like smash? I know that there are "places" to find the update data online, so if they can do it why cant braindump?

braindump dumps the cartridge contents. update data is held in a more encrypted form on your sd card, as is dlc, which means that you need to use kernel level shit to decrypt it using your console-specific stuff. then you could refuse it to romfs, maybe, when a packer for dt is done, but yeah.

I need some help, whenever I try to extract the romfs of Fire Emblem Awakening (eShop CIA) with this, it should take a very long time to process, but for some reason, it takes less than a minute to dump, and the extracted data from RomFS extractor does not even have the files I need for modding character data (data/person/ specifically).

In fact, every game I try to extract only processes in a matter of seconds, and ends up in 0004001000021100 of the root. Nothing is working.

are you selecting the game correctly before launching braindump, sounds like you're just starting braindump and choosing download play as your target as 0004001000021100 is the download play apps titleID

If you're using masher's GridLauncher, update now!

@neobrain May we have an options to only dump the romfs in a later release?
For some reason it seems like dumping the code can take a long while and is rarely needed for romhacking.

thanks for this tool ^_^

OK, so I just need a copy of Cubic Ninja? WHY did I choose not to buy that game when I saw it at GameSTOP?! *Facepalms*
