I need to update my emuNAND to 9.5 (New 3DS), so I downloaded the full firmware 9.5.0-23U for N3DS and put the folder with a bunch of .cias in the SD. Then I tried to install them with BBM but I got this message:

"Import failed. File: 0004001000021000.cia
This cia is invalid. (0xD8E08027)"

What can I do?

Get sysupdater.
This /\
isn't sysupdater for updating the sysnand?
It is for installing CIAs where there might already be CIAs with the same name. Using BBM, it will skip any CIAs with the same name, not updating them, and leaving you with Frankenstein firmware that might be bricked or just have weird unwanted behaviour.

Isn't emunand basically a copy of an actual nand, except on a hidden partition of your SD card rather than on the actual nand of your 3DS? :p

https://github.com/profi200/sysUpdater

It updates whatever NAND it is installed on. Installed on sysNAND for example it updates the build in NAND. Installed on emuNAND it updates emuNAND.

(That being said, if your cfw has any kind of firmware spoofing enabled at all times in emunand, it'd probably brick the emunand like it would brick a sysnand.)

Also

You also should strictly avoid updating single titles because this also can lead to bricks!

:p

Ok I'll try, thank you all.

I found sysupdater 0.3. Is there an older version?

What emunand version are you on atm anyway?
(I'd recommend making a backup of the emunand before trying anything, so that you can restore it if something goes wrong.)

I mentioned the firmware spoofing in emunand thing a few posts ago, not sure if there are any CFWs that allow you to boot into your emunand without firmware spoofing.

I've been looking online, see if I could fish out ways of manually updating emunand, and this guide says to use BBM to install all the update .cias like you were trying to do, so I'm not sure what's going wrong.

ReiNand 9.0

I think I'm going to make a backup of the emunand and try it anyways

Hmm, well be careful, because: https://www.reddit.com/r/3dshacks/comments/3hwksx/reinand_emunand_95/
Seems someone tried updating their reinand emunand to 9.5 and it somehow bricked their sysnand. I don't know if it's something they did wrong or if the actual process risks bricking the actual sysnand but I'd be wary.

I looked on that iso site though, in the thread with the downloads for the update packs, and it says it can be used to update emunand by pressing L+R+A in BBM to install all CIAs or by using sysupdater.

If BBM isn't working to install the .cias, there might be something wrong with your update .cias
I'm not sure if different emunands function differently. If they do, that might affect things.

Maybe that guy didn't unlink their both nands. How something you do in emuNAND can brick your sysNAND if they are unlinked?

Btw how you knew I downloaded the firmware from the iso site, are you a wizard lol

Let me know if you know another site to download them

Edit:

I succesful updated with sysupdater I think. The sysnand is ok, but for some reason I can't boot ReiNand. Always got a black screen after click on Reinand's icon in the homebrew launcher...

Edit:

Nevermid, I got it after some tries
