I've tried using FTBrony and it's buggy as hell no matter how I try to connect to it. It always shows "null" for every thing on the SD card. I've tried using multiple versions, connecting under Windows, Mac OS X, Finder, Windows Explorer, Filezilla, etc. and still can't connect. This is really ticking me off. I hate having to boot into Windows (I dual boot) just to transfer things to the SD card in my New 3DS. And taking it out is out of the question for now because the head of one of the backplate screws is stripped (Nintendo's screws are always crappy in my experience). Does anyone have a working setup? Reddit says FTBrony is just plain broken, and every other program I've found is a fork of it.

The latest 3dsx of FTBrony in the starter pack works great on Linux, but the older build I had did the same things you described. It showed the directory as null and a single file (null), that was it. Transferring worked fine if I put in file paths and blindly copied, but that was about it.

I thought I was using that one... Maybe I forgot to overwrite it. I just generally pick and choose from smea's starter.zip.

Well, the starter kit is updated regularly. It doesn't say on the page but it does on smealum's twitter if there is an update. The link is the same in every case however.

I use the latest FTP-3DS with winSCP and it works like a charm all the time. If filezilla isnt
working for you, give winSCP a try.

...i'm using the pony one too. going to my computer, adding a network adress, type in ftp://ipadress:5000 and then it just works.

If you're using an New 3DS then just go to System Settings, Data Management and microSD management.

Yeah. In a pinch I use Micro SD Management, but it's nice not to have to leave the Homebrew Launcher, especially when adding themes or getting screenshots. As for the stripped screws, Nintendo sells replacement screws with backplates for about $5, if anyone else has had that problem. I've even heard of one person mentioning it to Nintendo and being sent replacements for free.

Where can I find the latest FTBrony as a cia file? Thanks.

Then use FTBrony. It works.

I thought we weren't allowed to link to that site?

Thanks for the help. My version must have been outdated. I got it working now.

Yeah, I got it to work the other night. It still throws errors frequently, but does work.
