Is it possible upload games with braindump? I mean extract the content and then replace with upload files ... I'm banned so I want to upload :c

Alright, I'll probably be bashed for this question but here it goes, for science:

Is it possible to use the file generated by braindump to generate a diff file to a totally different game (also dumped by braindump) and then use HANS (or something similar that could apply this diff file to the cartridge) to "patch" the game into another?

I'm trying to see if I dumped my Pokemon Omega Ruby cart properly, is there anyone who has gotten their unmodified dump to work with HANS willing to provide the MD5 checksum for their 0011C400.romfs?

That's way more complicated than it sounds like.

I remember I was able to do this with GBC roms back in the day. Of course, there was no encryption and secret keys involved at the time and file sizes were small.

He's asking if he can use HANS to pirate.

Maybe. I doubt it though. Just dump a small eshop game you own and name the .code and .ROMFS to match the game you are loading.
Assuming that the .code doesn't contain the title ID or some other identifier(I don't really know) and/or HANS doesn't check to see if they match before patching the game, it might work.

Where do I get the .code from?

It's in the ExeFS. It doesn't have an identifier but the sections have to match.

Use ctrtool.
ctrtool -t exefs --exefsdir=exefs --decompresscode exefs.bin
The exefs has to be decrypted.

Several have earlier in this thread and they're usually depictions of exposed brains.
Makes me queasy :/
Whilst brain is in the name, dump is also in the name. So... are there any icons featuring poop? Or a brain in a toilet? I think that would best suit the name...

Sorry, I'm really dumb when it comes to commands. Do I have to just paste that in? And what do I do after the decryption?

So you decrypted your ExeFS and renamed it exefs.bin. Then you download ctrtool and put it in the same folder. Then you open a command prompt in there and run the command. And boom magic happens.

Is that magic the .code file itself?

It is. Alongside banner and icon and some fancy stuff. It's packed in a folder, pretty straightforward.
