Will give it a try.

Alright, i caused the lag in the first place by messing with "frame delay" (trying to get rid of the vertical tearing).Catsfc Plus (cia)
I have noticed some lag in some DKC2 levels (Arctic Abyss for example). It drops to 40 FPS or so (may drop to 50 if you use US version).
I have found a solution. Cause I'm a fricking genius:
fastforward_ratio = 1.0
input_toggle_fast_forward = *press your favorite button in order to enter fast forward mode - can even be the C-stick*
This way the game will run at the normal speed even if some levels make the FPS drop a little.
I'll be interested to know the size of the executable once you're done, @daxtsu. I'm guessing it'll be about 14MB or so (hence CIA only). In theory I think it should be possible to hack things away until it's small enough to work as 3dsx (good candidates for culling are CPS-1, CPS-2, Neo Geo, Master System, Mega Drive, PC Engine and SNES emulators and info, since those are all superfluous), but that's a lot of work to put in and I still don't know how much it would save.

While a full FBA core would be awesome, personally all I'd want from FBA that we don't already have is CPS3 and Cave - and if that means individual cores for both, all the better for my '.3dsx only' n3dsIt's 16Mbytes, so you'd probably have to do a takeover of the MH4U demo in order for it to work with a .3dsx. I'm testing the CIA now to see if it even boots.

are you on o3DS or n3ds ?tried 3dsx and cia - mtslug 4 and 5 --- 4096
I think CPS3 could get a better fps on n3ds, but on o3ds,well.I can confirm it worked, but wast fullspeed at the time I tried. (I don't think it was running 30fps)
lots of stuff ran on psp, pgm stuff, cave gen1 too![]()

And as much as I'd love it, the Cave core is virtually useless until the vertical rotation is fixed.I'm sure we can shave off a number of cores since CPS2 and a few others are obviously redundant.

Red bottom screen when load the 3dsx, is it nomal? Or is it *hax2.1 only?Well, FBA full is so big that I can't just upload it to GBAtemp, so here's a link to jheberg (sorry, I don't have Mega or Dropbox).

The biggest game i tried this with is MvC 1, so I have no clue how large of games you'll be able to load. This is based on fba-libretro, so 0.2.97.30.
Edit: Keep in mind this is unofficial; we're just doing a test here to see if this is even viable for N3DS.
Edit 2: Turtles in Time runs around 33-40 FPS it looks like.
Edit 3: I'll try building MAME 2003 as well. Maybe TiT will run better there?
are you on o3DS or n3ds ?
if n3dsx you're doing something wrong I think (wrong romset ?), since those work for me :\
Wow things are moving fast here! I'll try your build, Daxtsu..
Daxtsu build, N3DS .cia:
Dodonpachi load!!! Fullspeed, but text is mirrored and controls are fucked up (known issue as vertical display is not working) xD Man it works!
Biomtoy works too.
I'll check pure neo geo games to see if it works the same or not.
mslug4 is working. Oo'
HOLLY SHIT mslug5 is working too!!! Sound is just completely wrong (a full noise all the time) but it works!

I‘m using NinjhaxFor the 3dsx you need to use Youtube or MH4U demo to run it most likely, it's a HUGE 3dsx file.
