This is a long thread and im not sure if this was answered, but is there a 2.5 hax build. If there isnt, what happens when i load this boot.3dsx instead of smea's 2.5 boot.3dsx?

There's a whole bunch of image files that can be created now. Do you think that you could have the default theme place all of its images in its folder when it's first launched?

It could say something like "Initializing Launcher" or something while it places all of the files - just a one time thing. Even if most of the backgrounds are just white or blank or what have you, at least they'd all form a template for theme creators, and would show all of the image files that can be potentially edited.

Last version I checked was beta 40 or so, just downloaded beta 74 73 and wow, I think I should drop my mod and just focus on helping solve all that little bits that gridlauncher is missing.

All the configuration options, menu, etc... awesome.

Btw, the animation is too fast, maybe it runs faster because I'm on n3DS? It's so fast it seems as if the screen glitched more than if it was scrolling. Can you make it slower/add a setting?

EDIT: run into some bug, selecting the last homebrew entered title launcher instead of running it :S

wait i have beta 73 wheres 74?

I second what suloku said but for me the animation is only too fast every now and then sometimes I switch the 3ds on and it goes at a normal speed then I switch it off and back on and sometimes it goes way to fast so not sure why sometimes it's slow and sometimes mega fast lol all I know is when it's fast it's very fast. 10.1 original with themehax.

i wait 10 seconds and it just goes back to normal. Or.... you know............. use a custom theme?

No please don't drop your mod. I think there is a place for both. That being said, if you had time to integrate some of the features you have added to your launcher that would be great - I'm thinking specifically about hans title launching and shortcut support :)

Yeah I noticed that (n3DS here too). The animations just advance by one frame every time renderFrame() is called. This means that if the app is running faster, the animations do too. That means variation between hardware types (e.g. n3DS will display animations faster than o3DS) and also on the same hardware depending on performance (so the animations will slow down the more stuff needs to be rendered since it takes longer to complete a single cycle of the main loop). The solution would be proper frame rate control but I don't really know how to handle that. An easier solution would be to add a speed option which would delay advancing the frame by x cycles of the main loop, but speed could still be inconsistent between themes and settings.

EDIT: run into some bug, selecting the last homebrew entered title launcher instead of running it :S
Could you give an example please? I can't reproduce that.

I think I also noticed an issue with custom themes. Not sure if it's been noted elsewhere, but if you choose to adjust the colors in the grid layout menu to use something other than the default theme (I simply adjusted the white background to be black and adjusted the text color), then the waves that you get when you press a button seem to lag. With the default theme, they always seem to run at full speed.

I'm using a New 3DS at firmware 9.9.0.

Also, what are the chances you could add something to this homebrew grid launcher to launch DS game cartridges? They sadly don't work with the out of region game launcher nor HANS, which means I have to boot back into the normal menu theme. I posted a suggestion on the homebrew request thread, but I figured I mention it here as well. If this feature was available, then there would really be no reason that I can think of to boot back into the normal menu.
