I'm currently using Yellows8's browserhax with ninjhax2.5, is there anyway I upgrade my firmware while retaining my homebrew status?

EDIT: Success, got homebrew working on 10.2 using Smashhax with Smash 3DS 1.1.2.

Nope, as far as I know there is no entry point in the newest firmware aside from those that require you to own a certain exploitable game, since both Browserhax and Themehax have been patched out by Nintendo.

You can use HANS to access the eshop and spoof FW to play online, it currently has some issues with in-game eshop purchases such as Fire Emblem: Awakening or SMT IV DLC, but this issue will probably get fixed soon enough, so I see no reason to ever want to update.

Who is Yellow2?
Irrelevant.
Don't update. Install themehax ASAP.
Alright, is themehax available in 10.2?

Fair enough, so far I've been using the spoof to redownload lost games, no problems so far aside you can't download later.
Smashhax works on 10.2.
EDIT But don't update, really bad idea. I know. I did...
Ouch, sorry to hear that, man.

You're right, but if you only have the browser as an entrypoint, you should install themehax no matter what!

Alrighty, I'll just have it aside in case of whatever. Hopefully smea updates ironhax or tubehax for use. Is smashhax available in 10.2 I do have the demo and the game itself.

I was in the same spot as you, debating whether or not I should install themehax since I had made my own custom theme, yesterday I decided to take the dive and install themehax, and lo and behold, about 2 hours or so after doing so Nintendo started blocking Browserhax, so if I where you I'd do so, Browserhax could stop working any moment for you since Nintendo has made it so that you now need to update your FW to load the browser on and FW higher than 9.9

I'd rather not risk it, I guess I'll have to install it then. :(
Yeah, smashhax is still available. It's a pain to set up, though...
It'll have to be my plan B for now, thanks for the help, likewise to everyone else!

SmashHax is also only for N3DS.

If you're annoyed at losing custom themes, you could do like I did, and use autoboot ThemeHax to boot into mashers' GridLauncher, in which you can set a theme. Hopefully your home menu theme wasn't too elaborate, because you might not be able to replicate every aspect of it in mashers' launcher, but it's growing continually and has lots so far!

Can set custom background images for both screens, can set custom borders for icons, custom colors for everything, can set custom icons for the menu buttons too, and sound/music may even be added later on, so it's gonna be awesome and a good replacement for the default 3DS's home menu, imo.

I was annoyed at having to lose my custom theme, but I think mashers' GridLauncher is a great replacement.

Update! I managed to get Smashhax working on my 3DS, now we got another problem. Themehax failed to install.
Oh, I'm using ninjhax 2.5 before the update (The initial release).
