Haven't had any luck with larger games on Neo Geo FBA using 2.5
Tried both 10-26 and 10-27 nightly builds

Key:
*: 60FPS or around full playable compatibility
-: Playable or struggles with compatiblity
x: Not playable at all, not enough frames

Old 3DS: *If your running on firmware 9.2 or below you want to use the .cia versions of the following due to kernel hax, otherwise use .3dsx
  • snes9x (SNES emulator)*

If you mean snes9xnext, I doubt it, it struggles even on N3DS.

Thanks for the answer. Slasher should change Snes9X an put CatSFC x or - on O3DS

I think he meant to write CatSFC there and not snes9x (yes CatSFC is a port of snes9x, but on the 3DS, snes9x would imply snes9xnext). I don't know how well CatSFC runs on O3DS (on N3DS it's pretty much a solid 60 FPS for anything that doesn't use chips like Starfox/Yoshi's Island).

KoF2003 didn't work for me, and someone else reported that 2002 & 2003 are the only 2 KoF games that wouldn't run.
I've not tried any of the larger Metal Slugs yet.

I wonder how much load DSP is taking away from the CPU.

Probably not an insane amount. The main reason for moving to DSP is that CSND was only meant to be used for banner sounds or something, while DSP is the actual main sound service/device on the 3DS. DSP should provide better/smoother sound without crackling if emulators are running at full speed.

tried mslug 4 and 5 - 4096 error
but think that the full ram needs to be enabled

full RAM isn't enabled yet ? (I was under the impression it was now with 2.5 hax)

Hey Azel :)
I tried some of these and as a general rule, on 3dsx builds. Neogeo games that are 80mb or more won't load

on new3DS? even with 2.5 hax ? :\
(I can't even load FBA neo as a 3dsx with ninjahax 2.5 for now, top screen stays back bottom spits that 4096 sample error.. same with other cores, tried catsfc too)

What builds are you using?
Try the ones from 26/10. They worked for me
Yes. I am using n3dsxl 9.9

oh ok I see :)

(well I'm using 26-10 nightlies too, It's fine though, just wanted to test some stuff with 3dsx RetroArch and hax2.5, I can go back to cias anytime :))

The 26/10 work with 2.5 hax. Well, at least for me :p
