How does this work? Ins't it romfs.bin? Is saying filename.romfs? New format I guess.
Currently we need someone with 9.2 or below with Neo X/Neo Y to dump their romfs.bin so we test it.

New format most likely since you cant just change the foldername to gameid.romfs. The naming only works when renaming code.bin to gameid.codeHow does this work? Ins't it romfs.bin? Is saying filename.romfs? New format I guess.
Isn't .romfs the name HANS puts on folders? Try gameid.code as the folder name.New format most likely since you cant just change the foldername to gameid.romfs. The naming only works when renaming code.bin to gameid.code
The only issue with that is, it will override the first option. if you're looking at the description smea put he wants a different name for romfsIsn't .romfs the name HANS puts on folders? Try gameid.code as the folder name.
Are you attempting what I think you're attempting?!Anyone know how I can go about extracting the romfs and exefs from a CIA file? I need to test something out.
Absolutely yes, of course I am.Are you attempting what I think you're attempting?!
Not entirely. I figured it out. I just need to finish a few things. So, we know that
1- We need the full RomFS from the ROM
2- There's no way to legally dump a ROM on 9.2+ yet
So there it's. I don't know why smealum decided this approach of completly swaping the romfs, insted of replacing the new files selectively. This means that to use romhacks, we will need to get a ROM from somewhere else...
So, how would it work then? We would need to compress the romfs folder somehow? Not entirely. I figured it out. I just need to finish a few things.
Its just a matter of the hack authors to upload a different file
The rom creator will need to build the rom with it, then extract it again, which will give him the fully built .code and .romrf fileSo, how would it work then? We would need to compress the romfs folder somehow?
It's the same save. With the romhacks, would it overwrite the save on the cartridge or be it's own seperate save?
So does it have a new format? I have romfs.bin from my old Smash with customs.Alright I got it. Expect a tutorial soon.
Just a matter of generating new xorpads
If you rename that romfs bin to gamid.rmfs then it should workSo does it have a new format? I have romfs.bin from my old Smash with customs.
