It'd also be difficult to mantain a RetroArch guide, as options change place/name constantly within the frontend. I often just edit things directly inside the .cfg file.

You probably need to put a BIOS file at /retroarch/cores/system. You could try this open source one, or find/dump an official one.

You are right. I had it on folder up and thought it was in the right spot. Thank you for making me double check :) One stupid thing not double checking can frustrate you for awhile lol

Gpsp always put: sdmc:/roms/game_config.txt game config missing. I see game_config and i find the config for the game.

Where is the problem?

The latest cia builds seem to be broken. Use the 17/10 ones.

Is there a way to stop the sound lag (Crash Bandicoot N-Tranced)? The game is at a solid 58.xxx-59.xxx FPS, but the sound gets choppy for no reason (no noticeable lag).

I'm running on the latest emunand cfw with reinand for the N3DS on the most recent build of GPSP.

Try turning off audio sync and changing it to nearest.

I've turned off audio sync, and it seems to be much better, however there are still moments of audio lag. (What does Audio Sync do?)

Lastly, what do you want me to change "nearest"? Audio sync is only on or off.

Drivers -> Audio to "nearest" instead of "sinc"

Well that actually exist in System Settings already.

Ah okay, I gotcha. Everything is a bit better now, a bit choppy here and there. The only big issue now is that with audio on, in levels where you roll around in a cag the audio and video lags (~53fps).

I'm almost afraid to ask, but I'm just that desperate. Has anyone been able to get the Neo-Geo core to work on the 3DS? I've put five or six different neogeo.zip BIOS files into the ROMs folder and they never, ever work. What exactly do I need to get the ball rolling? It seems incredibly picky about which files it accepts, as evidenced by the piles of hair I've been ripping out of my head. Do I need to rebuild what I've got with CLRMAMEPRO, or what? Please help me out here!

So nobody knows what the weird mirror/clipping/tearing/whatever error is on the emulators when you move and the screen scrolls? Running 10/18 builds with vsync on. Also catsfc lags so bad on megaman x launch octopus stage

Well you seem to be the only one experiencing that...

l haven't played X on RetroArch but keep in mind the X games contain a fair amount of lag at times even on the actual console (as well as the VC versions on Wii U). X2 and X3 are even worse because of their heavy usage of a special coprocessor to generate 3D wireframes.

use FBA roms from the right fba romset, neogeo.zip goes next to your rom.
do you have a 3ds ou NEW 3ds, rom is loaded in RAM, both systems have different RAM size. (on new 3DS with cia packages I can't run anything bigger than KOF96 (haven't tried with latest builds though)

(and yes, the neo core works fine unless you use the wrong roms, roms that are too big or a wrong bios)
