Lol at the whining Osakasan. No one cares about you ffs ^^ lol

Guys don't talk to this guy anymore? Let him alone.

You know this is NOT exactly the way to shut up someone.

Sorry, but i'll stay on topic when all of this stop. I wanted to stay on topic from the start, but i wont stand being insulted.

OK, so yeah, again since it got lost in the Pages, anyone know how to change the DIP Switches in the FBA CPS1 Core? Is that a Feature that can be added to the FBA Cores?

I think we should be able to choose from more than one in the poll.

The consoles that Retroarch 3ds emulates absolutely brilliant are:
PC-Engine
Genesis
CPS2
Neo Geo
Snes
CPS1
NES

Fantastic work aliaspider!!!!

You need to put in bold "on N3DS" unless you want to bait certain users.

...although I'd debate Neo Geo being 'absolutely brilliant'. What it runs, it runs near perfectly on n3ds (you could say 'absolutely brilliantly'), but my best guess is that it's only able to run somewhere between 50-75% of the available romset at all. The other 25-50% won't even boot and freeze the system requiring the power button to be held down.
The roms I test for each new build are garou, svc, kof99 - so far no progress on any of them. If anyone else gets them working, please advise how.

Basically, for now, if it is a rather large Rom like SVC, dont expect it to run. Found that it has to be around 30-40MB max. That is just on the N3DS. O3DS might be smaller in Size or the same.
I am just happy that UniBIOS are working, that way you have access to the BIOS/Configuration Menu.

I tried running Dimahoo on the CPS2 core and found it displayed the video mirrored (everything backwards), as well as rotated - although I'd presume there's an option to rotate the screen orientation for vertical games, but it crashed when I went in to options.
Anyone else tried/can try this game and report back?

screen rotation is broken currently, this is what causes the mirroring.
accessible RAM for homebrews is limited currently for both o3DS and n3DS to only 64MB, so these large neogeo roms will only work once a way to access more RAM is discovered.
so expect only roms with a size of ~50MB or less uncompressed to work.

even kof97 is too big,so now,no larger than 27MB.

Is this not just an arbitrary limitation within Ninjhax/Ironhax/Tubehax etc.? Shouldn't .cia files have access to the full amount of available RAM?

yeah but that part hasn't been reverse engineered as far as I know, if someone knows of a way to do it, I would be very interested.
commercial games like SSB can access the extra RAM just fine on o3DS.

O3DS 10.1 ironhax/themehax

I've been testing the Genesis GX plus core from yesterday's nightly with Master System roms. Noticed a slight speed improvement

Mortal Kombat II: 60 fps average. Some palette error but i'm inclined to think it's the game's fault.

Sonic Chaos: 55 fps average

Shinobi: 45 fps average

On the subject of the devs: I wish it was easier to get their attention. I've mentioned the catsfc speedhack thing a coupla times and never seen any comments on it.

Working on it myself would be a huge waste of time if someone else was, and I'd be a lot slower + worse at it.

edit:

i'm pretty sure catsfc-speedhacks can be dropped in by swapping in cpuops.c. and i can probably modify the hardcoded speedhacks

i'm not sure just how much of an issue baking all the speedhacks in is but it'd be a fun experiment. i'll work on it tomorrow

That would be interesting. Having the regular CATSFC as a speed-focused core (that's keep the O3DS users happy) while having CATSFC Plus more 'balanced' between speed and accuracy.

anybody managed to run Real Bout Fatal Fury 1 or Special? I had no success with them on the last 3 nightly builds, and the ROMs are 23MB.
Uncompressed they're about 40 and 50mb respectively.
I'm not sure how much of the ram is being used by the emu itself and the bios', but it's conceivable that the uncompressed roms need to be far smaller than anticipated to actually work.
I'm going to test a few more roms that look like they *should* work, given the low ram overheads, and see if there's a pattern of any factors other than uncompressed rom size that's making them not boot.
