Sky sounds the best option. I own a O3DS XL and GW at the moment. But want to upgrade my console.

With sky3ds you get 95% of retail games plus region free and homebrew. If you want eshop and 100% compatibility I would seriously give another look around to see if you can find a 9.2 or lower

Why would you do that?? Sky is only for people who a) ended up with a 9.3+ console and can't afford to get another one, and/or b) were careless and updated accidentally. I've never heard of anyone updating on purpose.

You will need a Cubic Ninja cartridge for the N3DS anyway, so you could get a Sky and put a Cubic Ninja rom on it, and run Gateway on your N3DS.

He said it was above 9.2. Gateway doesn't work on anything above 9.2.
