The reason is the zip is too big. try smaller roms

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

on new 3ds with sfa, decent 59.834fps

Yeah aliaspider mentioned that memory management is complicated on the 3ds

The only two games that worked for me were Street Fighter Alpha and Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo.

O3DS. Tried sfa3 and msh. I was expecting low frame rates but coudn't even get them to work, heh
That is why. N3DS would handle the Cores better until they are Upped enough for O3DS.

sfa2: Not Working. Gets to Loading everything but stops at the Msg:
RetroArch
:: cannot push NULL or empty core info into the playlist.

Core Build for FBA CPS2 is v0.2.97.28
Have to be Zip
Finding the right RomSet is being a pain as current RomSet is 0.2.97.36 . Some Roms might be missing some components. Dont know why these different Emulators insist on different ways of making their Roms.

Tales of Phantasia doesn't boot using GPSP.
Super Mario RPG still black-screens during intro cutscene in CATSFC.

I tried Sonic MegaMix (Sega CD ported hack of Sonic 1) in Genesis Plus GX. Didn't load at all. It comes in an ISO + CUE set with a large number of audio tracks alongside it. I tried the ISO when it failed, was I supposed to load the CUE? Does SEGA CD emulation require a BIOS? I'm trying to work out which reason is why it didn't work, if it's because it's a hacked game, if it's because I loaded the wrong thing, or if it's because I'm missing a BIOS. I know that people have tried Sonic CD, so this should work in theory.

Also, would be best if there is something missing in a Rom, the Emu frees up what it was trying to load and return to the Main Screen. Have to force Shut Down every time.
avsp: Not Working. Same result as ssf2. After it loads, it Locks Up

Should stick with the more Simple CPS1 Emu first until CPS2 and NeoGeo can be figured out

Both are already included (although they may not be avaialable to download yet), and yes, better handling of loading errors is planning for the future (in RetroArch in general), but in many cases the core just crashes.

It's not trivial to implement.

Twinaphex mentioned he might use the new fba port (up-to-date) to make split cores in the future.

I tried snes9x catsfc and fceumm and mgba on o3ds it feels really slow, any way to speed it up or not? i read it works perfect on n3ds though

Seems no hope for our O3DS! (Unless some kerxploit appears and it can load dynarec)

Correct. Basically you got to think of it like this: Emulators coming out now are going to be working for the N3DS. Has Updated CPU, GPU and RAM. Then if they plan on it, see about making it work for the O3DS. So for right now, if you have a N3DS, break it out and start Testing/Emulating
