I found a save file next to the rom, and another in that ^ dir, but both are now identical and empty.
If I were you I'd re-download the latest nightly builds and replace the .3dsx files. Also you should try deleting the config files located in the retroarch folder, that could do the trick.

Would I be able to play Final Fantasy 3/6 on the latest nightly build? If so, with the SNES or GBA emulator?

the newest nightly build of catsfc runs Seiken Densetsu 3 at a near constant fps of 21, where it used to run at a constant 16. I smell progress!

It's interesting that a few games run better on CitrAGB than on gpsp.
I bet there's still much room for improvement in the dynamic recompiler.

what games for example ?
by the way you can set the audio resampler in the driver settings to nearest, that should bring a small performance gain. audio quality will suffer a bit though, but it could be worth it for cores that are running close to fullspeed currently.
(requires relaunching the application to take effect).

The Crash Bandicoot games (both The Huge Adventure and N-Tranced) and Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga for example. They run at very good speeds on CitrAGB but like 30 FPS on gpsp.
By the way this last build is kinda unstable. It often crashes and forces a reboot of the 3DS, especially after we load and unload multiple games. Sometimes (rarely) happens out of nowhere when a game is running too.

The previous one (yesterday's first with working dynarec on CIA) seems more stable.

ah yeah audio and video sync might slow down cores running at moderate speeds (~45fps). to profile the actual speed of a core, bind a controller button to "Fast forward toggle" (in Settings -->Input Hotkey Binds). this will allow you to toggle syncing to see the maximum fps a core can run at.

Yeah. we seem to gain around 15 FPS after enabling fast forward (HW bilinear filtering disabled and audio resampler driver set to nearest). It gets almost as fast as CitrAGB, but still a tiny bit slower.

I have an o3DS so I didn't think about that. I'll see if I can add them, along with the second analogue stick.

Do you happen to know what the difference is between n3ds zl/zr/second stick is and circle pad pro extra buttons/stick are in memory? I haven't seen much info on it

N3DS extra Buttons Nub are not listed in the RetroArch Cores. However, GameYob .cia has them listed but can not access them, but the.3dsx Version can, same with the PrBoom3DS Versions

Just tested the Fire Emblem games in CATSFC, was pleased to see that, unlike in Blargsnes, they have no graphical glitches! Huzzah!
Question, though: is there an option yet to have the games play at their original resolution?

The last couple of updates have drastically improved the stability of the emulators! None of them have a desyncing issue with the screen, so I can play Sonic 1-3 without feeling nauseous. Seiken Densetsu 3and Mother 3 now run at 60fps! However, Kirby Super Star now kills the emulator for me, and when it doesn't, it chugs at 0-1 fps at the title screen. n3ds 9.9.

Can someone test Super Mario All-Stars on catSFC for me? The controls completely go out when you start a game, just want to make sure it isn't just me.

Also, with mednafen wswan, the framerate becomes very unstable if you open the RetroArch menu just once while playing a game. It actually runs too fast after opening the menu (80-85fps, whereas the stable framerate is 75), and it's necessary to load the menu every time, because I have to manually set the controls when I load a game. Otherwise the controls won't work.

Can confirm that the controls die. For the time being, if you want to run these games, use BlargSNES, which will run them perfectly.

Also, does anyone else get an error with Super Mario RPG? When I start a new game, it hangs after the initial cutscene and never goes to Bowser's Castle.
