Wait a minute, are you saying with this firmware spoofer I cannot redownload Tropical Freeze which I legitimately bought from the eShop?
It's too soon to tell, and everything is still subject to change.
Right now, trying to launch any game will trigger a game update when there is one available, and then tells you you need to update your firmware to apply the update anyway.
How it checks this I do not know. However, installing update content using homebrew might be possible to work around this. Same should apply to Tropical Freeze since you own that game and have a valid ticket :)
But it's a bit too early to tell what is/is not possible at the moment. We literally got it working last night after days of trying to do a race attack with like 1/8 success and no feedback/debugging options.
We will just have to wait and see how this all plays out.

And to think I was almost going to update last night .

I've posted this a few times in the other thread and no one has responded yet:

"Will a spoof allow us to WiiU system transfer from a higher-firmware console (the latest, lets say 5.5) to a lower one like 5.3.2 running the spoof? (Nintendo requires both consoles be on the latest firmware)"

I imagine the requirement to be on the latest firmware is not a real limitation in terms of software issues or conflicts, and want to know if this will work.

I doubt it will let you system transfer. If it's anything like the 3DS firmware spoof, you can access the eShop and that's about it. System transfer doesn't work on firmware spoofed 3DS consoles.

@DarkKaine do you think NNID creation will be feasible, aas i'm on 5.3.2, but did not create mine, and i need it to use online, whatever the game :(

keep it up guys, we will wait for your magic

and if you need some tester, ping us

If it's anything like this firmware spoof, then you may be able to do a System transfer. (I have no idea, I don't even own a WiiU :P)

I take it we will only have a spoofer on 5.3.2, is emunand possible on this or only 3.1.0?

From what I hear, it does allow e-shop access, which would mean you can download any previously purchased or purchase new content for your system, including game updates.

online play
latest

Yes, should work fine.

Updated original post
One rumor is true, one rumor is false (for now) and the other rumor is true but indirectly :)
Video should be up real soon, tho I am a shitty cameraman. Keep an eye out on crediar's twitter ;)

Whats the ETA on the video ? Just to know, cause I have a job in 2h.
Man am I excited

Oh man....my Mario Kart is going to be played tonight (hopefully :D) online...till the disk starts burning

Thank you for the vid man !!!!

Let me be a bit skeptical....
The Video doesn't show a change from 5.3.2 to 5.5.0 E
The Wesbite shows 404 and a trollface and the html-source doesn't show anything - maybe the picture works in a way like the hen-flash from the psp but... well...

Sorry, but i thought there will be a proof that shows:
1. 5.3.2 - console which wants to update
2. The way of spoofing it without giving away an adress or something like that (censoring the display alone)
3. The console now has 5.5.0 E and has access to the e-shop and online gaming

If those 3 parts are covered in a Video i'm gonna believe it...

The video is directly from Crediar himself, there is no reason to doubt the legitimacy of the video. Also, that html code is standard code to escape the browser to run unsigned code.

The video SHOWS the install URL in the browser, just not the address. And the Hello World example shows the REAL FW firmware of the console AND spoofed FW version. He is able to launch Mario Kart WITHOUT it nagging to update, so actually, it DID cover all that.
