I'm a YouTuber, so let me clarify something about the "Hardest Mario Level ever" that got over a million view before being taken down.

Assuming that he monetized that particular video, let's say that it got to 1.5 million views. Obviously we can't know the exact numbers, but by my approximations that is ~$3,000 in gross income (so before the self employment tax of around 15%). That's assuming that he makes about $2 per 1000 views which is a reasonable guess due to the amount of people who use ad blockers.

For the record, that also means that YouTube earned 3,000 from that video since they keep half of the profit. People can say that Nintendo has all the right in the world to protect their IPs or take videos of roms down as much as they want. But realize that if Pablo's video had to potental to get another 1.5 million, that's now $3,000 of lost potential to him and 3,000 of lost potential to YouTube. And that's just one video. What if he made a lot more that were removed? That's the kind of stuff that would make me suicidal.

Since my YouTube channel deals with tutorials about setting up emulators, hacking game systems, and I do reviews on things suck as the MaxLander and Amiiqo, in addition to doing Lets Plays of Mario and Zelda games and even promoting my own hacked version of A Link to the Past... This kind of stuff scares the crap out of me.

Hmmz, i wonder if they also start sending mails to Twitch users who use a capture card to display there playing on 3DS.
So No more Nintendo games on Twitch and YouTube (Wait till Pokemon GO is out, nobody can record anything anymore.)

Pitty, cause some userbased video's make me decide if i buy a game or not (Yes i hate official magazine review video's)!

You'd think they'd realize there was demand for a way to record video from a 3DS and release an official capture device. They already have such a device ("PARTNER-CTR Capture") but for whatever reason they haven't made it available to the public.

Lol people said the same thing when Microsoft was removing xbox videos, yet nothing happened to them. I'm thinking this is more of an automated process rather than a Nintendo representative going through and removing videos.

YouTube has recently deleted 10 of my videos that featured RAM hacking and cheat codes. The infringed media was titled as "no title".
Also 2 sa2b and some F-Zero GX videos were removed as well. So it's not that fun with Sega as well I suppose. (Or Nintendo was the complainant since these games are licensed by them)

I think that Nintendo just hurts themselves with this paranoid action against us YouTubers since YouTube is one of their latest source for new costumers.
And... I highly doubt that Nintendo would like to accept hacking videos in their creator program. My videos didn't even show the game in original condition

Well, now I won't feel bad to pirate. Ban my channel, I get yo games for free. Nintendo can kiss my ***.

The reason theyre removing speedruns is because they are using TAS (tool assisted speedrun) which can only be done using an emulator.

Without getting into the very tedious and boring definition of various types of speedrun debate (it varies between speedrun communities) I do have to say something that would unarguably count as tool assisted can be done with a variety of cheat devices that have savestates, binary altering cheats, conventional memory editing cheats that are still mighty powerful, control assisted input/devices (a common TAS technique is a control macro, here is one you can buy off the shelf for gears of war 3 http://www.evilcontrollers.com/mods/gears-3-modded-controller-auto-reload-rapid-fire.html , here is a 5 year old project for guitar hero https://hackaday.com/2010/12/23/teensy-can-school-you-at-guitar-hero/ and here is a video of an optical pattern recognition device attached to a robot arm that will then play flappy bird) and more besides.

What is this even

So, if I got it right, they're removing these videos 'cause:
1) It's played on emulators and roms
2) The people making these videos get money off them?

Meh, not caring. If in the future I'll make a video like this and Ninty wants it removed, I'll just send them a middle finger and upload the video somewhere else.

Sony: Ps1
Microsoft: Does Windows games count?

So is this to say that such TAS runs are limited to retro systems from before the PS2, GC, etc (regarding consoles for those)? Just saying because they are likely using ROMs, which in of themselves for Nintendo games is illegal to use, since any backups are for archival purposes only, according to their EULA. We've been able to get away with things like playing ROMs via emulators in the privacy of our homes because Nintendo wouldn't know, but this is getting out into the public (and people are starting to make money off it), which Nintendo does have some surveillance and authority to take action.

Well, there is no ps2 and psp emulators doing TAS, but GC and Wii is possible and done already.

Well, they sell cheap hardware in pretty containers, but they still have to work more on the overpriced factor.
last gen hardware specs doesn't count?

ok, they can't be apple because they do bring cool new stuff like the wii motion controlls, or the 3d on the virtual boy and now the 3ds...
can't forget about the gamecube with the gbaplayer or the super game boy for the snes. they really inovated and realeased lots of cool stuff..
as for apple they come some years later with stuff we already seen on the past and claim its theirs... and charge it too much

however, nintendo for the last years has lost my support... they started to get ridicolous on stuff like "limited edition" nonsence, digital games at the same price as retail, and very very rarely a new IP comes out..

how can YT prohibit me to access youtube or other account or to create new one with new data...???

Stupid nintendo...people SHOULD pirate them hard!!!
