But the code could be in there, that's what I want to test with ROM injection. The GBA VC version was handled by M2, not Nintendo, as M2 wrote the emulator.

That still doesn't answer my question on how I go about setting this all up.
set your wiiU up to use a static IP, or assign it one on your router

it's easier to use static IP, but you can also use Wireless Network Watcher (from Nirsoft) to list all connected WiFi devices.
Static IP is a better solution to setup your network, you can send files to the console, set proxy, ftp servers, etc.

Okay....then what? I did blacklist Nintendo's update servers, etc in the router instead of using OpenDNS, I assume blacklisting it with that is a surefire way to prevent updates? See, the problem is, no step by step guide on how to do everything from the beginning.

All I can gather is:

- Blacklist all Nintendo related IP addresses in OpenDNS or router blacklisting (done)
- Connect Wii U to WiFi network
- Set up static IP address for Wii U (like what, which ones can I use as there are only a finite amount of IPv4 addresses)
- Run the exploit (Again, I'm guessing, I never really tried this yet), which i assume is www.wj44.bplaced.com or something
- Then run @FIX94's app via PyGecko?

Therein lies the problem, what IP address should I assign my Wii U after I connected to to my WiFi network? I blacklisted all Nintendo's servers just as a precaution.

Ugh, I'm so confused.

Okay, well, I blacklisted all the Nintendo IP addresses using parental controls on my router, it was easy enough to do. I just need to connect it to my network, is the next thing. So, if I want to inject Snes ROMs to the VC, I:

- Connect Wii U to network
- Go to Comcast/Xfinity router IP site and get the Wii U IP address
- Somehow scrounge through 500 pages to find the Wii U exploit (that's gonna be fun to find since people don't want to stick it or add to the thread OP).
- I assume I point my Wii U browser to the TCP Gecko IP address (IDK lol)
- Enter the IP address in Fix94's Snes VC injection app IP.txt
- ???
- Profit

I don't know to be honest if I'm even close.
i never injected anything becuase i dont have any VC sadly but its basicaly like this

On your wiiu just go to the bowser you first need to run a kernel exploit(wich can faill i always get race attack like 2 or 3 times lol)
Go to fix home page he has all exploits hosted there
http://fix94.no-ip.org/wiiu
choose kernel(osdriver) if it exited the bowser then it worked if not try again
once your back on wiiu menu again go back to the bowser again and same link except now you choose codehandler option it will again exit back to the menu.

now open up your VC title pause the vc game to see the VC options and such, now on the pc hit connect on the gecko app you can use fix link to get the app of course on the app you need to put your wiiu ip and such before hitting connect.

if it connected well go to memory viewer right click upload data and you need the adress posted for snes VC injection afew pages ago and just hit upload, once its all uploaded on the VC menu on the wiiu just click reset rom or game or whatever that option is called and if it works it will work if not well it can simply blackscreen or crash your wiiu.

Also one thing you need to know you cant inject a rom bigger than the original one becuase it will break the emulator so depending on the VC game you have your choices are limited what game do you have?

See that's the problem, where is this alleged gecko app everyone is talking about? I can't find it anywhere, so I can't connect the Wii U to the PC once I get everything set up, if that makes sense. And I looked back a few pages, but saw nothing about Snes VC ROM injection or the data. That, and I thought Fix94's app mentioned dragging and dropping.

I have a good no. of Snes VC games.

yeah its a a better app xD just get that and your good all rest is already hosted so you dont need to have anything else.

i already told Fix link is a moded gecko app just made for snes only.
I haven't tried it yet, but I'm thinking FIX's link is NOT a modded Gecko app, considering the instructions for it were:
1. Edit the ip.txt for your wiiu
2. Start gecko
3. Go into game and vc menu
4. Drag and drop snes rom into exe
5. Click reset in the vc menu

The SNES injector just seems like a shortcut to overwriting that portion of RAM. I think you still need Gecko open?

@the_randomizer I'll PM you and get you set up today

Okay, sounds good, because I still don't know how to get Gecko, but I assume I do it via Fix94's website, I'll await the PM :P Hell, I still need to get my Wii U set up lol.

Yeah, definitely assume I open Gecko after I load the exploit on his site.

you edit the ip.txt to your wiiu ip, open OSDriver, then GeckoInstaller, start game, vc menu, inject, click reset in vc menu, there you go.
Oh and yes, its just a shortcut to manually doing the RAM thing in gecko dot net.

Thank you for summing that up, I look forward to testing this and letting you know my results ^_^ I need to connect my Wii U to my network, open the Comcast/Xfnity gateway, then to the devices and change the Wii U IP to something like 192.168.1.85, same as IP.txt, load your website, then the OSdriver, etc. Awesome!

I also assume there is a ROM size limit?

Instead of letting the console use DHCP to get the next available Local IP, you can set it manually.
if your router is 192.168.1.1, then you can set your computer to 192.168.1.2 and your WiiU to 168.168.1.3 and your Wii to 192.168.1.4 etc.

on the console's network setup, instead of saying "automatic IP : Yes", then select "no" and set the IPs manually :

IP : 192.168.1.x (set X like you want)
gateway : 192.168.1.1 (the router's address, gateway to internet)
mask : 255.255.255.0 (it's always that, unless you have more than 255 computers are home lol)

Then, you will have to select DNS ips, you can use open DNS or any other you prefer (google, your ISP's DNS, etc.)

Nope, my router doesn't use that IP address, and now I can't even get to the exploit page, tells me it can't display it, but I am connected as I just got to Google.
