Hacking Internet-free EmuNAND launch on 2DS

Hey all, I've recently become pretty aggravated at the fact I have to take out my phone every time I want boot into gateway mode/EmuNAND. I did a lot of googling about this, and my conclusion is that there is a lot of bad information out there, either hearsay or just old. I've gathered some information about how a no-internet launch could go down, but I'm not sure if any of it is possible on a 2DS. Here is what I can do:

Install CIAs to EmuNAND or SysNAND
Tubehax
Ninjhax 1.0
Gateway card
SysNAND 8.1
EmuNAND 9.9

I read somewhere about an mset downgrade (whatever that is) that would make the DS profile exploit work on fw >4.5, but I read that is can cause soft-bricks and other bad stuff if you reset the system. Then I read about rxtools, but I still don't know if it's safe on a 2DS. I'm fine with downgrading to SysNAND 6.0 or whatever the 2DS can run at the lowest if I need to.

Just install 6.x MSET. No brick chance and you can use the DS profile for rxTools. Or just use ninjhax.

Could you please share with my those steps? I already have rxtools on my USA 2ds, but I never was able to install the MSET, I always got an error :/

Thanks all, I just tried again with the old tutorial in GBATemp, it seems that rxtools 3.0 beta 8 from that tutorial is working great. Now I have the 2ds with a downgraded MSET
