Making more progress on eShop update bypasses. 105-4260 was the old error, which just said the network was "busy" (aka nn::nim::NeedsNetworkUpdate returned 1). This is what happens when you remove the call from the app .text. I'm willing to bet this is a return from NNID sign in, so maybe patching NIM directly will yield results.
Oh boy oh boy oh boy
I hope you get this working :D

That would be correct. As of now, file replacement is possible through Cafiine, which leads to the custom music and VC injects. Other memory edits are currently being attempted to varying degrees of success. All of this is possible on most firmwares up to and including 5.3.2, support for anything newer is postponed.

Too bad the guides to do so aren't so user friendly.

Pretty silly question, but how do I update the Wii U online? My OpenDNS blocks it even when my PC is turned off!
The reason I want to update is to enjoy all online compatibility of Super Mario Maker.

Unless there's a spoofer before September 11, no need to update.

EDIT: I'm on 5.3.2.

Just remove the openDNS setting, maybe just clear your wifi connection and set-up a new one, that will allow you to update

I think is all right for while
But no tested with ethernet yet

Ps: 5.3.2 Version
hmm... I think about the possibility to translate japanese Games for Wii U like on the 3DS.
Cafiine should be able to replace Game files with modified ones, right?
So we could be able to use translated files like we're able to do it with NTR_CFW for 3DS?

It's getting an official translation anyway, so I don't really see the point. In fact, most Wii U games do.
It would definitely be possible to provide fan translations as we are able to modify both files and memory, but fan translations are highly dependent on a) a motivated and skilled team and b) high demand, not to mention that the current way of patching stuff isn't exactly the most user friendly/one-click one. So theoretically yes, but it's unlikely.

On another note, is there anyone who would like to test the "gamepad only as a controller with turned off display" tweak I mentioned a few days ago now? There's no sense in creating a program for me if there's no way to test it. (Remember, I'm stuck on 5.4.0)

Sorry, but idk i am rly dumbass about Hax :L

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

No offense but I would rather jump off a bridge than translate Xenoblade X :D
Yeah me too :P

I'm not sure but I think the Wii U has some JPN-Only Games, right?
Yes JPN Region only!

I've always tried to figure out how to do that because most of the time I play looking at my tv screen wasting battery on my gamepad while playing. Very useful tweak, I wish I can test it but I am still in 5.4.0 too ^^.

But my XenoX is little incomplete cuz
I can't download these file and DLC
