Hacking Gateway Error: 00000005 c86044cd

I recently installed Ninjhax 2.0 while experimenting with some CFWs. I then tried to reopen Gateway through Cubic Ninja. I cleared out the save data and scanned the QR code and I get the error in the title. I see that others have encountered this problem, but there doesn't seem to be any consistent way to fix the problem listed in any of the topics I've found on it. Has anyone had any luck with this?

Edit: I'm on a New 3DS

You have to load a FF'd out save. You have a powersaves?
 
I'm honestly not sure how to go about that. I have an EmuNAND set up that I can boot into with ReiNAND, but I don't have a CIA installer set up in my EmuNAND (thus trying to get into Gateway to install one through Multirom). I am admittedly not super well versed in how a lot of things work on the 3DS. I'm still just getting into it.

I'm still able to boot Ninjhax, if that grants me any other options. I don't necessarily even care about getting back into Gateway, I just need to install a CIA installer in my EmuNAND so I can switch to ReiNAND permanently.

Ok...could you use cakesfw? And if so, use a 9.2 native firm with it.
 
Does CakesFW let you install CIAs? I see that it supports patches in .cakes format, but I don't see anything about CIAs, besides CIAs over network. If it does, I think that should work... I think my EmuNAND was on 9.2. It's been a while since I used it.

If you use a 9.2 native firm with it, you can load fbi through ninjhax in emunand to install your cia manager.
 
If you load FBI through Ninjhax, that would be installing to your SysNAND though, wouldn't it?

Edit: Nevermind, I see what you're saying now. So then the next step is to get from 9.0 to 9.2 somehow. Thank you for the help.
 
I had a similar problem that was resolved by running cn > ninjahax > fbi > manually go one by and try to install all the cia files from your current firmware. I had a few missing causing these errors
 
I just bought a power save, because they're cheaper than I thought. Is there a good place to get a cleaned cubic ninja file? Or is it as easy as just writing Fs to a text file and loading it, and letting the game fix the corrupted save?
 
That would be awesome. I'm now having another issue, though. When I try to load Cubic Ninja up in the software, it says it's unsupported. I saw another thread that said you could just dismiss the dialog and continue using the software, but it takes me right back to the "Insert cartridge" screen, and then says the game is unsupported every time I hit ok.

Any hints?

You have to use an older version of the software. Try looking for a mirror.
 
Don't know why I didn't think of that myself. Appears to be working now. If you could PM me that save file, that'd be fantastic!
 
Hey, not that you owe me anything, but if you could send that file, I'd appreciate the crap out of it. Thanks again for what you helped with already!
