Hi guys sorry for this noobish question. After a long time I have turned on my wii u. It is on 5.3.2E and I blocked the update domains. Do you guys have a link to get started with the exploit and running cafiine? Thanks for you upcoming replies!!

Naehrwert just posted what code was changed from 5.4.0 to 5.5.0.
The kexploit uses those exact bugs, that's why it was released in the first place.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

@wimkaay Here's the library for compiling the needed files. ;)
The kexploit is in the "examples" folder! (osdriver) ;)

How can an emulator* be like an emulator* but better? :P

*generic emulator without further specification

Not sure if there is one that explaines using cafiine in detail with the current exploit here. The one I found which is quiet simple enough is in French :

Does anyone have Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate? I would need someone to test custom music in it this weekend.

It's for the latest firmware (and 5.4.0), right?
But it's useless unless there's a webkit exploit to use this, am I correct?

Yes, the kernel exploit is useless, unless you have the possibility to run (unsigned) code, e.g. via the Webkit exploit.

Yanda: All the weapons I leaked (which you can find here) are all in the game already finished, but locked behind cBoss, meaning they're not tied to anything and can only be unlocked when they send a signal through servers when you connect for the latest news. I can edit the save data to get it without having to unlock or buy it.

Why isn't there a guide for Cafiine or any of this stuff? It should be stickied as people aren't going to want to scrounge through who knows how many pages. Then again, I don't think guides will ever be written on how to run the exploit, how to swap VC ROMs, that'd be too easy.

1) Use RPC or router to get Wii U IP
2) Compile
3) Use common sense to figure out how to generate new files to replace
It depends on what game you're trying to edit, I can't just magically teach you 5 years worth of experience :P

1 is easy enough to do, I go to my Comcast router IP and find out the device, but I have to connect it first, though I did blacklist all the Nintendo update/eShop IP addresses already via the router. WTF is RPC?
2 No guides on compiling, I suck at programming
3 No guides for that either, I think that TCPGecko or whatever it is, I don't know

I'm talking primarily about VC ROM injections in to N64 VC

See, I've been out of the loop, and I don't have a damn clue what does what, how to do what people do, where to get the tools, how to set it up. This isn't exactly something I'm familiar with, and as such, I'm 100%
sure I'm in the wrong for wanting to do my part and test these things out. Yup, I've been in the wrong for wanting to help and be a part of this. I never said to teach me five years' experience, only that there aren't any basic tutorials on how to set everything up. Is that so wrong to point out? If there aren't any guides, how can one expect to test out the exploit, much less Caffiine.

Literally all you need to do is find a working ROM and overwrite what's in /ROM/ and reload it in the settings

GameID.version, looks like

I'm also speaking of setting up the exploit, running the necessary apps, etc. There aren't any real guides to that either, and ugh, I'm so bloody confused at what needs to be done. Sorry I asked :( Maybe this isn't for me at all, since I suck at this sort of thing.

It'll get easier as time goes along, it'd probably be a good idea to rework Cafiine to use XMLs like Riivo and support code patches on startup. Can just read from a server and you don't have to do any work other then run a few things through the web browser

I certainly hope so, because I now regret trying to get into this when the process isn't exactly, how you say, user friendly. I'm not especially adept at this sort of thing. I know, sad.

Thank you for teach me. I maybe understand.
In other words you can unlock any weapon on the list, but at this time you can't unlock any weapon of the future coming.
I had been thought you are only can connection.
