Same here, i can´t make it work, i´m on a New 3ds 9.0.0-20 U

Reply again i do this and work for me.

First extract the starter kit to the root of your SD (the 3ds file and the boot) Follow this video then start youtube and if it work youtube ask for your firmware version (u can get it in the 3ds configuration), well if this not work for you try the solution down here :3

SOLUTION= Just erase your connection in 3DS internet settings, turn off your modem and then turn it on, then create a new connection (in 3DS internet settings) try if the 3ds (new or old) can connect to it and then change the primary DNS address to 107.211.140.065, save the settings, exit system settings, then go to youtube and follow the onscreen instructions.

PD: sorry for my bad english ^^
PD2 And Edit: Please someone tell me how can i spoiler the video :C i don´t want to see it using all the right post screen.

I finally installed ironhax via tubehax, but by choosing the file (third one in my case), it crashes showing me the white box and rebooting the console.
Tubehax runs fine though, just some random crashing once in a while.

Can we get your Sysnand(Eur,US,JP), wether or not it is an old/new 3DS?

I'm running tubehax on my JP regular new 3DS on 9.9 FW and am getting audio out of both blargsnes and citragb. I don't know why some people are reporting citragb not working.

So I decided to try the really old version of youtube app (the 1.0 or whatever), and the exploit almost works - it crashes back to the home menu, but it's almost there!

Question regarding N3DS users who only have tubehax (such as users with only Japanese N3DS systems):

Is there any way to turn off the wireless once we get the homebrew channel launched? I'm guessing eventually Nintendo will patch it in a firmware update and I get paranoid about leaving my internet on just in case it downloads any firmware updates onto my system.

I am using EmuNAND Gateway 9.9, original 3DS.

I am successfully able to launch the Youtube exploit.

I then run Ironhax Installer - This fails. Red flashes, then white with grey lines on the top screen. No further progress. I made two attempts, which were identical failures. I have not previously launched Ironfall.

Third attempt to run the Youtube exploit failed. Stuck with a loading circle.

Fourth attempt succeeded, and I was able to launch the ExtDataTool. I then tried CitraGBA which did not function.

Alright - here's everything I did that made all exploits work.

1) Reinstalled all the NEW files (Ninjhax 2.1) for homebrew onto my SD card. That includes the text file.
2) I had previously gotten the browser portion of YouTube working by this method (not sure if it's what allowed the DNS hack to work):
A) Sign in
B) Terms of Service
C) tos_maps
D) Scroll to the top, click the Google icon. . . E) Enter anything and viola!
3) Ran Cubic Ninja and cleared data by pressing L+R+X+Y and deleted the old file. Did the Ninjhax 2.1 method. You can Google it.
4) Created a save file for Ironfall. Ran the Ironhax download via Ninjhax 2.1. Worked.
5) Setup my DNS via smea's Twitter and ran YouTube. It worked. Froze a couple times. Worked mostly.

CitraGB and a couple other homebrew apps don't work. Have patience. They have to be updated, just as they had to be from Ninjhax 1.0 & 1.1 to 2.0.

Edit: I'm on 9.9.0.26U Old 3DS.

I will take a few notes from this and create a basic save file for Ironfall before deeming it a "Gateway" related failure. :) Especially in confirming Citra doesn't work for anyone.

O3DS 9.9.0-26U
Assuming you installed using all the right firmware settings, you really just try again. I think 9/10 times it'll give you an error rather than going into the HB Launcher. It's happened to me before.
