Hardware Mirrored red tinted top screen

Hi,

I got 1 3ds which i messed a lot with in te past. I got it for free and it was pretty damaged so i practiced hard modding on it.

I didn't drill a hole in it sl i had to remove the hard mod everytime i used it (5-6 times).

I hardly ever used it. It was just to mess with so i didnt really care.

Now the weird part.
Since the last time, the top screen of the 3ds xl has a red tint, and the entire screen is mirrored (right to left instead of left to right).

Do you guys think this might be caused by the cable from the motherboard to the screen? Or could my top screen just been broken?

I'm asking because i'm willibg to but a new cable. But i'm not paying 40+ euros for a screen replacement since i'm never using it to actualy play on it
