I've been trying to mode my 3DS to un-brick it. I get this
BOOTROM 8046
ERRCODE: 00F800EF
00000000 00000000
00000008 00000000

Does anyone know what's wrong?

pictures are required to help in these situations, odd are you have shorted something while doing the mod and need to clean it up

I have a thought that it could be CLK (I chose to solder that behind the screen, and had lots of trouble with it). But I still get a connection from the CLK wire to ground with a multimeter. What should I take a picture of?

all the points you soldered to, you may have shorted the clk point to ground

@gamesquest1
Here's the front with DAT0, Ground, and CMD. The purple tape is there to avoid shortages. (the wires are coated, so they wont short from touching) The wire coming from the touchscreen panel area is the CLK wire

Here's under the screen with CLK. This gave me a lot of trouble, because solder wasn't sticking easily. I glued the wire in place, and put clear tape over it.

Honestly, I feel like I'd be a little surprised if it wasn't CLK that's giving the problems. Any suggestions for soldering it?

@hundshamer Just out of curiocity, where do you get your ports for doing mods? I've been buying really cheap power banks, and ripping the female micro usb port out (I messed a few up, but this is what I did to fix my XL)

They work similar to the write protect tabs on a cassette (if I didn't just hint at my age).

Thanks for the help everyone, it's up and running again :)

EDIT: spoke too soon, I think there's a shortage somewhere, I'm getting a bootrom screen after I desoldered all the wires, though one time it boot to the home menu, so it's atleast not bricked
