Just a quick question I read the thread but so much info on the 3ds scene is coming out at once it's confusing

Does this work on 4.x sysnand? I would like to use it to access eshop to get smea game when he announces it (if it's even an eshop game)

Yes, but why on earth are still running 4.x? I can't think of any reason not to update to 9.2

Not working for me unfortunately.
Using a Japanese New 3DS, Gateway emunand 9.5.0-23, when I go to the eShop it still asks me to update.
Has this been patched or something?

Never mind, worked after I've rebooted.
Rebooting solves everything lol.

I thought about it a lot, but apparently you can't use mset with gateway on old3ds 9.2 or is that fixed now

If your sysnand version is >= 9.0, you can install it on sysnand and use e-shop.

I'm not sure which Sm4sh patch was being referred to. V1.0.8 DOES work on 9.5FW (at least through Gateway on my N3DS in emuNAND; there was apparently A LOT of confusion whether or not this version worked on 9.5 but I can definitely say it does at least with Gateway emuNAND).
I'm looking for reports if anyone has tried the new Newest patch, V1.1.0, that was just released today and whether or not it also works with 9.5FW.

If anyone else has tried Sm4sh V1.1.0 on 9.5FW, please feel free to share your results.

Sorry, I was confused about specific version. But this patcher will not make smash bros w/ the latest update run on 9.0.

pardon the dumb question, but will an available update on smash keep you from playing online? I just installed a backup and used that 3ds t cia converter to spoof the fw version. So with the game installed like that, does it matter?

You won't be able to play online with Sm4sh without the most recent patch (currently V1.1.0). You shouldn't have any problems playing offline though.

that sucks. I just finished setting up my N3DS with rei and updating it to 9.5
Never even had a chance to fire up smash for online play. Also had to delete my progress since I originally installed it to sysNand with Pasta (dumb move, i know)
Oh well. Guess we will have to wait out for someone to figure a work around.

ah well, its smash. Can't complain that you get to play it all over again, you know? Had half the levels and characters unlocked.

True, I had to start over Smash when I downgraded my O3DS to 4.X, but it's not that bad. Although I did have quite a few challenges already completed
