I recently bought a 3DS with firmware 4.5, set up emunand, and updated it to 9.8. I then installed BBM to install DM2x, and finally install the Browser Timewarp from this video.

Now, sometimes when I try opening the browser, or leaving, I'll freeze. Is this a normal occurrence? Because this makes RAM hacking a pain in the ass...

Ok, yeah I noticed the same problem and already reported it to the devs. However since I seemed to be the only one, I reported it as unconfirmed bug. I would appreciate if you can report in the thread with a quote to my post confirming it.

Here is my post:

I narrowed the problem to be related to the TWL/AGB patch

Now, to solve this temporarily until a proper fix is released, you have 2 ways:

1- once you run rxtools, run the browser first thing, then click on home to go back to menu, and run whatever game with ram hack you want. It doesn't seem to freeze this way when opening the browser is the first thing you open

2- try cakes cfw, once you get to the cakes menu, select patch 1 and 3 only, don't select 2. 2 is what enables AGB/TWL so you shouldn't get this problem anymore since you won't be enabling it

Let me know how it works out for you :)

Edit: I am assuming you use rxTools 2.6 or above? I believe the problem didn't exist in 2.5.2 or below, so you can also use that if you want

I installed CakesFW and it works like a charm. God bless you, this was annoying the fuck outta me all week!
You are very welcome :)
I know the feeling. I also spent quite a while trying to understand where it went wrong until I could finally pin point it. I imagine it has something to do with over usage of RAM. But in any case, I hope the devs look at it and fix it.
