ROM Hack The first super mario 3d land edits/hack

Hello everyone I managed to play around with sm 3d land, and replaced some models. I have provided some photos as you can see. I am trying to figure out the camera parameters to play around with it!

There is no tools for editing super mario 3d land. Only efe which is really annoying and hard. MK7 is a lot easier to do.

Presumably the same way you hack a 3DS to play ROMs.

Well, the definition of a ROM Hacker would be "Someone who is interested in how ROM works", so if he decrypted the game and swapped model around, it is a hack nonetheless.

Is a homebrew app that lets you play romhacks on userland. People with an entrypoint to HBL can use it, even if they don't have CFW.

SM3DL isnt as capable as SMG and SMG2 were and also the levels aren't as big. also hacking 3ds isn't as easy as hacking the Wii was. hopefully that changes since anyone with homebrew entrypoints can use HANS to hack 3ds games now (temporary file redirection mods in userland. it points to a folder on the SD card instead when a game is loaded up allowing for edited game files to be used and even works with digital games)

also modding is more tedious on 3ds. it's not simply editing a small game file dumped from the game's data and simply pointing to that one small file to load that file instead of the file read from the contents of the game. instead you have to dump a whole 1 gigabyte+ romfs file, unpack it, modify the files, repack it into another new romfs file, then put that large file back onto your SD card making sure you have enough space and the transfer will take a lot of time only to possibly find that the mod doesnt work right and you have to do the whole process again. not as easy as Riivolution modding was.
