Hacking Downgrade from 9.8 with Sysnand backup?

I accidentally updated to 9.8 from 9.2 whilst trying to update rxTools' emunand. I do have a backup of my Sysnand however. Is there a way to downgrade using it?
 
Dude I did the same thing, and I can tell you there is no way right now other than hardmodding. Either get someone to do it, or if you're handy with soldering, try it yourself. Apparently Gateway's working on 9.8 sysnand support, so that will be, ahem, soon. Sorry about your misfortune.

That's what they said in a reply to someone's email. They gave no date or any indication when such an upgrade to their firmware will come. It could be tomorrow, next month, next year.
oh....that email.....
I knew that.......
they just try to keep your hope on them team
