Placed my order a week ago, 3 days later still no reply. I ask for a tracking # and receive an e-mail telling me that the tracking will be added in a couple days.

Now it has been a week and not only is there no tracking #, but there were several fraudulent charges placed on my CC adding up to $50. The only purchase I made with that card was on Modchipfactory.

I'm currently contacting my CC company and bank to file a fraud report. Fair warning to you all.

They're on the resellers list and search results on the forum actually say that they are legit. Apparently now they're not.

Most banks seem to be pretty good about siding with you on a fraud claim. I had to do that once with a DS flash card, and when I bought my Gateway, the card number was stolen by someone and my account drained. (The store itself seemed to be legit, I got my card quickly and everything, so either the payment processor did it, or the payment processor was compromised.)

It can be tough to get info sometimes, even sites that were fine can become compromised. I'm pretty sure everything will turn out okay, but I'll still hope you won't have any problems with the claim or with your next purchase.

It will definitely work out thought it might take a little over a week depending on what speed you paid for since it has to cross Canadian customs.
As long as I get it the speed isn't really an issue. Just hoping I don't have to deal with scam companies like modchipfactory again.

I had the same experience as well.

Stop bumping the thread and read the forum rules. We can see your thread, you don't need to double-post all the time. We're sorry about your predicament, but don't take your frustration out here.

I'm not frustrated, I've gotten my money back and I've ordered my card from another reputable source. Just trying to warn the rest of the forum that this retailer is no good even though they are on the official reseller's list and GBATemp forum search results even vouch for this retailer. If anything this thread should be stickied.

If that's a problem go ahead and lock the thread. I don't lose anything. Guess you have no problem with scammers running rampant.

Like Foxi4 said, there's no need to bump the thread. If anyone were to do a search on modchipfactory (Like anyone should prior to buying from a site) they'll see this.

I just bought the sky3d bundle from modchipcentral (ontario based), fast shipping, but they bundle the thing with kingston 32GB mSD that doesn't seem to work, or at least doesn't work with the cheap ass mSD reader they included. Had to use the 4gb(toshiba) mSD that n3ds came with to make it work and have useless massive 32gb storage inside n3ds now heh.

I have a problem with you blatantly disregarding the rules and double-posting for no reason and then getting all uppity when I call you out on it. Your story was heard, don't give me attitude - the least you can do is be polite. I didn't mean to upset you, so I'm sorry if I did, but rules are rules - get your message across without breaking them.

I'm sure our host @Costello will know what to do about this and whether or not they should remain on the trusted resellers list - it's possible that this was just a one-off slip or a mistake and for whatever reason you didn't get the customer service you should've received. We care for the safety of our users and we'll react accordingly.

Like I said, I'm not upset or frustrated, not sure why you're trying to spin it that way. I was simply trying to warn other potential buyers that this reseller is stealing CC info, so I posted that I charged back card immediately after I got off the phone. Didn't mean to double post, but if it's such a huge offence mods please lock the thread.

And the entire debacle is more than a customer service issue. They blatantly ignored me for days after I paid for the order and then stole my credit card info. If this doesn't warrant a removal from the list I don't know what does.

Give it a rest already! After reading your ramblings, I'm prone to blame the over-pushy buyer, not the slow seller. Sometimes companies put multiple temporary charges on a credit card to validate it. Once that happens, they are removed, which could take a few weeks. But you didn't want to wait that long!

They charged me once for the card and then made several other additional charges (including a dating site ZOOSK and an autoshop in Dayton) using my info. I made it clear that they were unauthorized fraudulent charges in my previous posts, not the temporary hold for the Gateway itself. Learn to read.

Actually nevermind. Please go buy from modchipfactory so they can place "temporary holds" on your card on ZOOSK.com for their behavioural matchmaking system :rofl2::rofl2::rofl2:
