ROM Hack Animal Crossing: New Leaf Save Editor

I kinda off topic but I'm desperate here.
Long story short I screwed up my sysnand and had to restore a backup made a few days ago.
Before formatting i made a backup of my ACNL cia's save using save data filer.

Now I am having issues in restoring the save file as the game insists to delete the save file.
Is there any way to recover (so i can use it in the game again) my save file from the decrypted save made using save data filer.

Clear your web browser's history and cookies. Make sure you dump the ram when you have the ability to walk around outside, and ressetti isnt coming.

I cleared my history, my cookies, and even walked around a bit but still no colors appear and I have only the 2 .bin files required on my SD Card.

I also see a strange white box. Is this stopping it from getting a .bin file?

I have a 2DS with 9.5.0-12u, I put the two bin files in my SD card but no matter how many times I try, no colors come up on the site and no new .bin files show up on my SD card. Is there something else I'm missing?

Be sure you put in the acnldump.c and acnlinjc.c in too.

are they definitely in the root of your sd card?

I tried it again after putting in the .c files, still not working. No color, just crashes, no ram dump either.

Just tried going to the links manually, same as usual. I keep checking the settings to make sure I'm on 9.5.0-12u, and I am, so I don't know why I can't just dump my ram. I think I might be starting to see really, really quick flashes of black, but I don't know if that's just me hoping for something to happen or not.

They're VCL files, not .bin files that's the problem.

I had the same problem when I first started hacking my town. You'll have to completely uninstall VCL (and by completely I mean go into your system settings and delete every trace of it)

VLC by default converts .bin files into media files for some stupid reason. I uninstalled and then reinstalled, only I selected the option for it not to make any changes and only open media files.

Uninstalled VLC, I'm still pretty sure there's no color or a very quick black, no ram dump either.

I think that black might just be the screen that loads the error message, but I honestly have no idea.

I need to update to 1.7567 to be able to hack, but I don't know how to do that since...Well, I'd probably have to update my firmware.

Are there any checksum in the ramdump? Trying to edit something manually but need to fix them if there are any.

When I was figuring out how to do it I placed the image and it turns out that it was a tiny bit smaller than what I thought.

Couldn't get passed it, though.
