The emuNAND format has nothing to do with how stable a CFW is. Besides, all emuNAND formats are the same, just the starting offset differs.
When they both start 100% of the time, rxTools has the stability advantage because it works on newer firmwares faster. Running on more systems is a decent tiebreaker.

Before Gateway updated with 9.6 FW support, rxTools ran emuNAND on more systems, and it'll be that way for future firmwares too.

Well sure they did but I'm guessing it's due to the fact that they were working on a tetherless solution for the 3DS. They usually release an emunand update within a day or less.

I really don't see the point of making excuses or fanboying for Gateway. They have been slow to release anything users want for the last 6 months, and they're asking $80 and another card to carry around when free tools will do more.

TBH I'm using anything that works, and for now GW is the only thing that works for me. It's simple, if you want to have kernel access on a 3DS you need a Cubic Ninja game card so it doesn't matter what you're using be it a CFW or a Flashcard, so your argument is pretty lame regarding the game part. Also, GW is $60 not $80.

That's a cool fact. But why do normal users need kernel access when Spiderhax are enough to disable sigchecks and enable CIA installation?

If you're saying Spiderhax is able to acquire kernel access, then I don't see how you're saying Ninjhax is required for kernel access.

N3DS support is a fair point, but even Gateway users can't update their emuNAND on a N3DS, so is that even a plus?.

On Pasta you can only go up to like 9.0 or 9.2. On the Gateway on the n3ds you can go up to 9.5 so you have amiibo support. Emunand is a big deal for several reasons.

Those $80 (is it 80$ even anymore? it's more like 60$) have funded Gateway to further develop the spider exploit, N3DS exploit, and so much more. Pasta CFW would not exist in its current form without Gateway's exploits.

Think of it this way: everybody who "donated" 80$ to Gateway contributed to the success of Pasta CFW as it is now.

Free solutions may be at their peak now, but it's likely we will never see another new exploit as Gateway silently moves on to more profitable projects other than 3DS.

These free tools were copied from gateway, almost everything that we're using now was discovered by gateway team. At least show some respect for the real hackers who made this possible.

I never said they did nothing for the scene, I just pointed out that owning a Gateway is now almost completely redundant for O3DS and 2DS users.
