So every time I play a NDS game using my gateway 3DS it resets my DS Profile and I have to use my Blue card to install the exploit, is there a way to avoid it?

I've tried a few things mentioned in this thread from different users regarding stick/remove DS-Profile-Exploit.
For reference: I've used my GW-Bluecard for this on a EU-N3DSXL(9.0.0) with FlashCardTimeWarp installed to sysNAND.

Remove a sticked DS-Profile-Exploit:
- Hold SELECT-Button -> Start DS-Flashcard -> Release SELECT-Button -> HOME-Button -> Back to Dashboard -> Exploit is now removed

Stick DS-Profile-Exploit: (2 alternative methodes beside the username-change-methode)

A) Change DS-Profile-Colour-Settings
1. "System Settings" -> "Other Settings" -> "Profile" -> "Nintendo DS Profile"
2. "Colour" -> Change the colour -> "OK" -> New colour will be saved
3. Repeat step 2
4. Return to dashboard
5. Start DS-Flashcard -> Start ROP-Installer -> Execute topmost option -> A-Button -> Switch off 3DS
6. Switch on 3DS -> DS-Profile-Exploit is now sticked
Note: It's important to really change the colour !

B) Change Time-Settings
1. "System Settings" -> "Other Settings" -> "Date & Time"
2. "Current Time" -> "OK" -> Time will be saved
3. Repeat step 2
4. Return to dashboard
5. Start DS-Flashcard -> Start ROP-Installer -> Execute topmost option -> A-Button -> Switch off 3DS
6. Switch on 3DS -> DS-Profile-Exploit is now sticked
Note: You don't need to change the time ! Just press "OK"

To execute step 2 only once hasn't worked for me !
Would be nice if someone could confirm these 2 other methodes are working.

Regards
Rudi

This worked for me too! Thanks so much!
Previously the profile exploit was wiped till I tried this. Below are my actual steps.

1) Install the exploit using the N3DS_ROPInstaller.nds; e.g. Profile Name: slslasher
2) Go to settings and change Profile Name to another one; e.g. Profile Name: slslasher01
3) Launch a DS game, exploit would be gone
4) Install the exploit using the N3DS_ROPInstaller.nds again and it should be stuck

Extra Steps because I want to change back my original profile name
5) Go to settings and change Profile Name to my original one; e.g. Profile Name: slslasher
6) Launch exploit and test, there should be an error.
7) Install the exploit using the N3DS_ROPInstaller.nds again and it should be stuck

I used the ropinstaller + name change x2 method. Sticks for me. Nds games & no loss of insalled exploit.

Sorry I'm new at this but is the rop installer a thing that you use to install the ds exploit?
If yes, how do I change the name of the DS profile when it immediately enters the gateway mode?

It's only for the new 3ds, the O3DS will not allow the GW mset to stick with ds games sadly... but you don't have to change it, just
1)install ds exploit with NV RAM.
2)Install flashcardtimewarp.cia.
3)Change ds profile name.
4)run ds exploit. (it'll crash)
5)install ds exploit with NV RAM again.
6)Lauch ds game cart/game
7) test profile exploit for gateway.

This method seems to work for me for a few days but then goes away. It's weird.

What is ropinstaller + name change x2 method?

If playing a NDS game doesn't reset MSET, have you ever uninistalled MSET on your console? How would you do it? Thanks.

RoP + Name change is one of the methods to maintain the exploit after running NDS games from the Blue Card. RoP is an exploit that's run from the Blue Card.

I've had no reason to uninstall the Mset, but if you want to get rid of it, you can flash you backed up System Nand dump to Sysnand via gateway menu.

Edit: There's no reason to remove Mset once you have it installed though. It's what lets you boot into gateway without the need for Cubic Ninja / OOT. Having to run the exploit via blue card after running a NDS game is just a bug.
