Hacking XC Retail Save to GW?

Here is what I want to do: I want to put XC 3D on Gateway and also transfer my save as well from the retail cart... Are both possible? Thoughts/help appreciated

I already have a CFW installed, but not the Pasta CFW. Can I replace the CFW I already have with Pasta CFW? How do I go about extracting and importing the save? Thoughts/help appreciated

If you're talking about ntr, you can use it with the savegame plugin, but I think it's easier to use the pasta cfw.

Ok, once I install Pasta, how do I go about doing all this? Can you walk me through the process/steps to extract and import save?

I am confused because I thought CFW was on SysNAND and I have SDF on EmuNAND through Gateway... Steps/process on all this appreciated

Just use sdf on pasta to extract your save, then use sdf on gateway to restore it to the rom/cia.

I am confused though: How do I install/use SDF on pasta? I don't have SDF on my SysNAND, it is on GW...

The easiest way : boot gateway mode in sysNAND, and install sdf in your sysnand, then start the pasta cfw and sdf should be here.

Make sure if you have CN if that wasn't obvious, now launch GW in Sysnand and use SDF.3ds or install the CIA (IDK if there even is a SDF.3DS) and then launch pasta via CN, use SDF to extract the save and load up emunand and restore the save via SDF

How do I launch GW into SysNAND mode? Can save still be extracted even though game requires higher FW than my SysNAND is on? I am confused about this, can someone list steps?

First you need the 3.2.1 launcher.dat then :

From now on, while in the Gateway menu with the boot icons visible, simply hold B while booting into Gateway mode or Classic mode!
You will then be asked to confirm booting into SYSNAND mode by pressing X.

I think so. I run CN, then the scan QR code thing and it then boots my CFW

If you're talking about the ntr one, it's not the right one, you have to delete your cn save like I said.

I am currently backing up XC now. When I play the game through GW, can it be exited/quit normally, or is it like MH4U and Smash where you have to open another game/app and then quit that?
